They are my two new goldfish, and I request that you, members of Evercrest, aide me in naming them!
If it helps, here are the descriptions:
1. All White except for an orange patch right between the eyes.
2. All orange except for a black streak running down it's back, and a diamond shaped black patch centered just underneath it's eyes.
I'm excited, they're my first fish ever, and they live with me in residence so my cats at home won't eat them ^_^
I will take care of them, I've taken care of my cats for 15+ years.

Ironic foreshadowing, anyone?

Umm shouldn't the Male be called Apollo and the Female Athena?
Edit: Az beat me to the dirty fishy comment.
A school of zebra danios...they are very playful for fish
Neon / Glowing tetras look cool in a school, and these glow in the dark somewhat...
Both of those are around a buck or so each. The following are a few dollars, and don't necessarily need a school.
I have one of these guys...they are beautiful colors. Neon Blue Dwarf Gourami:
And this guy will help keep it all clean. These have so much personality; mine likes to walk on his fins [ 01-06-2004: Message edited by: Demos ]

Might I also suggest the venerable Betta and the much overlooked Sailfin Molly. [ 01-06-2004: Message edited by: Azizza ]
as for mine, well, the pictures aren't host-worthy
and I'm just too lazy to take them

Most people can't tell the difference just by looking.
I picked the one with the white tail to be Apollo because he was the sun god. White = light = sun.

LOL. Good point. However I am a fish Nut. I have 5 Fish tanks total ranging from half a Gallon up to 75 Gallons. 3 of those are Salt Water. When you put that much money into something you learn to tell colorations and such that show Male from Female Plus I want them to mate so I will have lots of little Clowns to Sell. My other pair already have.
And I still demand piccies of the goldfish [ 01-06-2004: Message edited by: Azizza ]

I have a black molly named Mr. Bojangles. He won't die.
When me and my father moved into our house, the previous owners left a very green algae infested tank. It was two weeks later that we realised that there was a fish in there.
Skip forward to the winter-
We had a nasty ice storm that knocked out the power for a few weeks last year, the temperatures dropped to the 30's and didn't even phase the fish.

I dont' knwo why, but that sounded like it could be an "in communist russia" joke.
Heh.
well, I took the pics, but I cant host them, because I'm useless ^_^
I can e-mail them to you if you'd like. O_O
Because of this Mollies can live in most water conditions from a Freshwater Planted tank to a Full Reef tank. There is a guy on another board that has used a Molly to cycle 4 or 5 tanks both Freshwater and saltwater. All you need to do is spend a few hours slowly raising or lowering the Salinity to the needed level I am considering getting a pair for my Fish only Marine Tank. They Breed so often that thier babies would provide a lot of food for my other fish. Epsecially my Marine Betta when I get him

I wired most of the lighting myself and did all the plumbing. I now make it my mission to turn Beauchan and others into Addicts like me [ 01-06-2004: Message edited by: Azizza ]

nice tank
Thank you M'dear I love your Goldfish still. I still remember how happy I was when I got my first Betta. Hard to believe it has only been a year.
I got my first fish in late 2002, Started my first Saltwater tank in Febuary or 2003 and have gone to where I am now As I said. It is an addiction
So I just visit my father's friend who's crazy about fish, he has around two or three tanks twice the size of yours there Az. Great to watch.
500+ on lighting,
250 on Sand
600 on Rock
50 on salt
120 on the tank
30 for the Sump
75 to make the stand
125 for the Overflow and return pump.
50 on the powerheads.
150 on the skimmer.
So figure just under 2k before I added a single living creature.
Snails and Hermit crabs are about 1 Dollar each and I have around 100 total of those. Fish average around 20 each and I have 8 in this tank. And coral average about 25-30 per frag.
And this is only one tank. I could not afford one 2 or 3 times bigger LMAO.
I'll probably end up spending that much eventually, but I'm happy with my 20 bucks CAD right now.
It's a Texas Chhiclid (Or however you spell). We knew when we got it they bastards were violent, and that could only put them in with similiar, or like minded fish. Which is what we have done.
When he was itty bitty, we put him in with similiar sized African Chiclids we already had, which he promptly killed, and then ate. We then got some larger chiclids, and put them in... They lasted a day at least before he raped and murdered them too.
We THEN added a 13" Rope Fish, also violent fuckers, and contrictors, and very large... We found his head bobbing around the tree one morning a few days later.
THEN we tried something else, and cross specied the tank. We added Mud Dogs (If you don't know what these are, that are rather large 6-12" Amphibians that can live indefinitely auquatically if you keep the temperature cold enough. Warmer water causes them to mutated into Salamanders.) They are vicious meat eaters that eat anything that moves that is smaller than they are... We got three of them. (Mind you, this is fine, its a 44 gallon tank, plenty of room) We found arms and legs a few mornings later, and i think it was a piece of tail...
Our Texas Chiclid is now 8" (Up from 3" when we got him), and quite healthy....
Texas Chiclids are fucking monsters.

Good Lord. My only real FW tank (not counting my Betta) is a Chiclid tank. I think I will scratch that breed right off the list. I will stick to Convicts and Cory Cats!
