Voldo is a bit wierder to play then in Soul Calibur 1, so I need more practice with him. He is still more badass than anyone else in this game.
Ivy has some NICE new moves and she got alot better overall. Her moves are harder to pull off but god damn to they look nice when you do.
Astaroth is now very, very close to my being my favorite. ALL of his moves are timed. I can delay any attack he has by holding the button down.
Heihatchi is the cheapest guy in that game hands down. I can get through any Weapons Master board with ease. I have a hard time when I play as Voldo, and he's my main, but as Heihatchi, I BREEZE past them. Not to mention he has all his 10 hit combos from Tekken in there. Let's see you BLOCK THIS!
Unless you want pure cheese, then it is Chevy all the way.
quote:
Mooj LOVES the cock;
Bah, Link is owning everyone I come across. When it comes to Ringouts, he is the unquestioned master. In every other area, he's about average, but even an average character can own all when controlled by a good player. Weapon Master is my Bitch. Air combos are a breeze, and I love his multistab. I just wish some of his charge moves didn't telegraph so much. You know it's bad when even the computer on the first level can evade a move every time you do it.
Hehatchi owns Link in when it comes to Ring Out manuvers. Between his 3 10 hit combos, his 5 hit trips with an ending power uppercut, his normal uppcut, about 1/3rd of his regular combos ending in ring out hits, and a bunch of 1 hit ring out moves, nobody comes close to Heihatchi.

And yeah, Ivy got alot better.

Sakkra had this to say about Reading Rainbow:

YES! redeem yourself, buy a gamecube and SC2 for the gamecube.
Everyone at the FuncoLand I went to (FUCKING TOOK ME ALMOST 2 HOURS TO FIND IT. I fucking hate fucking fayetteville) was like "Who wants to play as Spawn or Heihachi? Link all the way!"

La~
I'm hoping he gets corrupted by the sword.

I won't have this game for a day or two. So, someone beat it with Link, and tell me his ending. (use spoiler tags if you wish)I'm hoping he gets corrupted by the sword.
I beat in in arcade mode, and basically it says he comes from Hyrule to this world to destroy Soul Edge, as it threatens even Hyrule. He accomplishes so, and returns to his home.
It's the worst ending ever.
I can't see anyone beating it without Heihatchi or from what I heard, Link. You HAVE to go cheap to win this and even then it's almost impossible!

Voldo is great for this mission.

I did it with Mitsi. Took a little while but it is possible.
I think I soiled myself watching the intro when I first fired up Soul Calibur II.
I play like a two year old... even after an hour of Practice mode with Link, I still am in the "mash all the pretty buttons" stage. Which is good, because the CPU put up almost no fight on Easy mode (my first 3D fighter, bite me) and not much more on Normal.
Pretty brief manual, though...

The hardest part of this mission is the fact that Talim moves around as though she were a flea on crack. I beat this mission with religious use of guard impacts, and a LOT of throws. The other two fights in the match were cake, but Talim was just brutal.
I've found that religious use of Link's -> -> vertical slash is the key to winning most battles.

By the way, this is like the second fighting game EVER that I can stand to play for 16 hours in a row...the first being SSB/SSBM
I'm almost regretting selling my Dreamcast + Soul Caliber 1
Almost
Then I realize how many games and how much po--err, "media" I have on my computer.

Khyron probably says this to all the girls:

I didn't.
Edit: I did it after I had SC2. [ 08-28-2003: Message edited by: Naimah ]
Just like Mightion, I haven't played a fighting game in ages (other than Super Smash Brothers, which was awesome), so I'm still pretty bad.

Yeah, I think Soul Calibur was the main reason I bought your Dreamcast.

Tarquinn Model 2000 was programmed to say:
Yeah, I think Soul Calibur was the main reason I bought your Dreamcast.
Is there any other reason to own a Dreamcast?
Anyway, I just unlocked Berserker, but he's only available in practice mode
And hey, how do you unlock GOD DAMN DIRTY LIZARDMAN?!
EDIT: Random things I don't like include...
- Astaroth, that fucking high priority cheeseball. [ 08-28-2003: Message edited by: Sentow, Maybe ]
- The endings SUCK. SC has great characters and pretty much the best story in a fighter ever, but it's all wasted on those lame four sentence epilogues.
- As Delid has noted, some of the WM missions are next to impossible. Oh, look, a hundred Astaroth clones. I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN.

Warlord Darius had this to say about Captain Planet:
Link's Ending -
*Various Pictures Here*
"Link came to this world to defeat the evils that threatened Hyrule.
After a long journey, Link finally succeeded in sealing away the terrible evil
In doing so, Link not only saved his own world, but preserved the the tranquility of this world
Link then left this world, a faint echo of his ocarina was all that remained."It's the worst ending ever.
Link should turn evil from the Soul Calibur

Hulk on PS2 was fun. Especially when you unlock the trash-talking Gray Hulk.

He doesn't even touch the Soul Edge. It's stupid. Almost as stupid as some of the WM levels your second time around

Another way is to use Kilik's circle-run + AAA combo.
Now all I need is to find his gag weapon...

I finally got Link's 3rd and 4th costumes, and his best weapon. Now all I need is to find his gag weapon...
Silly me didn't get the guide book when I got the game today.
How do I get the stuff I'm missing? I've made it through the WM mode once, using mostly Link. (That hammer is love.)

Megaton Hammer? Bah, the Cane of Bryna pwnz j00.
As for the stuff you're missing, well, what stuff do you have in the first place, and what do you need?
EDIT: Oh yeah oh yeah, does your level mean anything? Being a Silver Hero is great and all, but why should I care? [ 08-29-2003: Message edited by: Sentow, Maybe ]
