One thing I am gonna say that won't spoil the story : There are no sentinels. Sorry. But even without them, HOT DAMN THE STORY RULES. It doesn't need mechanical men to 0wnz0r. It does this far too well by itself.
Colossus shows up, but not for long =/ The transformation is DAMN kickass, but he's not a major character, by any means.
Nightcrawler is cool. Anyone who bitches about 'WAAAAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! HE'S NOT HAIRY ENOUGH! HE SHOULD BE THE FUZZY ELF!' should be anally raped by a schoolbus. He was AWESOME. He didn't go BAMF, per se, but he did completely own. His teleportation effect was incredible and he fit into the story perfectly.
Magneto wasn't the big villain, but he WAS a villain, and you could tell. The big villain to the story, the one who did it all, Stryker... he was evil. I loved it; the big bad guy was everything you'd want him to be, and more. Ruthless, cunning... you name it.
Mystique was just as prominent in this as in the first, and she's badass. Without spoiling much, I will say that watching her slide over the floor while the door closes behind her, and see her flipping off the armed guards chasing her as she slides past... that was just priceless
And the movie answers a question I'd been considering for a bit. What's a good way to kill a person who's got an indestructible adamantium skeleton with incredible healing powers? The movie manages to do it in the most badass way.
If you aren't sure if you want to see the movie, just imagine every good thing from the comic books, minus all the annoying things. More realistic costumes that still end up looking cool. Badass mutants with badass powers. Special effects to die for. A storyline that's three times as captivating as the first. More action, more mutants showing off their powers in the coolest damn ways... And an ending that practically BEGS for X3
Now, thing is... there's a single word I could say that would set off most of the comic fanbois on the forums... make some cream their pants, make a few wet themselves, and make the rest drool uncontrollably. Thing is... if I say it, most of the ending is spoiled.
Think I should?
And the word Khyron is too much of a wuss to say...
Phoenix.

Umm Remind me to kill you in a most painful way.

I refuse to see past Nightcrawler's flaws.
Weren't you the one who loved the Magna X-Men comics and you're whining about the "bastardization" of a character?
Hypocrite.
This is an X-Men Movie. They could've at least got the timeline and characters right.

What? She was only semi-cool. And besides Mangaverse wasn't taking itself to be a translation of a story, simply drawn differently and being loosely based. This is an X-Men Movie. They could've at least got the timeline and characters right.
Yellow spandex and all.
And besides, they could've gone with Wolverines OLD costume, the Orange/Brown one, other people's aren't that bad. The females' costumes may be a bit revealing but oh well. [ 05-02-2003: Message edited by: OtakuPenguin ]

Especially Snoota with his broken spoilers.

Who's they?
My broken spoilers was a joke, but Khyron didn't spoil anything or post anything false.
The only spoiler is under my spoiler tag!

Yeah, thanks for ruining the movie, assfaces.
As someone so eloquently told me when I griped about Spiderman..
It's an X2 thread, you didn't have to read it.
The way Magneto escapes from prison by draining all of the iron from the security guard's blood... absolutely incredible It's probably the goriest part of the movie, but hell, it's definitely my favorite scene. "There's something different about you... too much iron in your blood." Followed by three balls of iron shooting out, destroying, smashing, freeing him... god that was just perfect
Seriously.
if not then i have no idea who he is and ims tupid
......even thguh nw that i think of it, strife is cables clone, but im too lazy to delete stuff, so like, whos sttriker?,
And for what it's worth, Kurt was BAMF'ing... In fact, Kurt was perfect IMO... Great FX and Acting and just general treatment.
And all the cameos that were around... Man....
Man I'm still wowed. When does this come out on DVD? I wan to see what they cut out.

A human bad-guy made up for the movie.
Actually, I think they got him in part from some of the early X-Force comics. He was someone that had old ties with Cable, and the government sent him to bring Cable and his X-Force in.
