Bevelle Serpet = pansy

Boss battles in FFX are ludicrously easy once you learn the strategies (in this case, airship retreating / missile use) , even without the Aeons.

Yeah, I'm replaying my FFX, and I love it. Such a great game...But to be honest, I'm kinda curious as to where some good pics of Yuna, Rikku, Auron, or Tidus might be too...Let me know if you know where to find 'em.

You can occassionally score a No Encounter weapon in the Omega Dungeon. Be sure to save your game as soon as you enter and stick close to the sphere while you hunt.

Hastega, get the ship away from him as soon as possible.

Switch in Wakka and Rikku, nuke and smack from long range as long as you can.

Hastaga, Kegwen. Duh.

And the name is Evrae.

Anyway, I don't want to do the cactaur thing for Rikku's Godhand, since I have to do a shitload of running with monsters attacking me anyway.. see my problem?

And I don't feel like going into omega dungeon *just* yet. I need to find a teleport sphere and get Tidus on Wakka's grid, then start using his Ascalon and levelling the fuck out of his strength, and pwning.

edit:You also get to fight an undead version of Evrae later. With only Rikku, Tidus and Wakka. Use some phoenix downs if you want the items in the tunnel.

Never ever ever ever ever try to cast Slow on it. It'll immediately Haste itself, and stay that way for the rest of the battle.

If it's Hasting itself anyway, I have no idea what to tell you. I've fought Evrae about half a dozen times, and it's never cast Haste without provocation.

The thunder plains own me... I almost never dodged right. So I started mashing the button, and got in a hojillion fights.. Eh.

Trick is to rotate everyone in your party out fast (Doing things like a reflex or jinx on the enemy, something free and fast), on large enemies like the iron giant in the plains, then blow them up with an aeon, getting overkill.

21,000 AP for defeating Yunalesca for EACH character, when I only really used Auron, Tidus and Yuna (Hooray Rikku's stealing of Elixers!) gave everybody like, one sphere level.

And furthermore!

When Evrae does that nutty inhale animation, it means he's about to breathe poison (god knows I do that anytime I eat at Burger King, but I digress).

Check your ATB bar (right side of the screen) to see if you'll have the opportunity to move away before he does it. In this battle, Cid appears in the bar (heh). If he has a turn before Evrae and after either Rikku or Tidus, give a move order. Evrae will waste his turn with an attack that won't reach you. Haw haw!

If you can't evade it, then switch to high HP characters before he cuts loose. Use an Al Bhed potion to heal and clear poison before switching to your front-liners again.

Poison Ward and Poison Proof armour is a godsend in this battle, if you have some.

Once you do defeat Evrae (You can do eet!) and land on Bevelle.. STEAL FROM AS MANY OF THE MONKS AS POSSIBLE. Seriously. Purifying salts are worth everything, cos if you get 30 (unlikely at this point, but you can try) you can customize a no encounter earlier in the game, and get stuff easier (200 dodges in a row on the thunderplains anyone?)
