For the record: Fal seriously fucked me up on Yuna at first, because I kept thinking it WAS fal, or someshit, but saw Fal as Lulu in terms of casting ability (I need help) and kept confusing Lulu and Yuna.
I still do, sometimes.
I feel speshul.
But yeah, Yuna was more Fal like than Lulu (Lulu is more nuke bang boom type magic) And the ideal fal would be a straight summoner who can heal her pets. Yuna comes closest to this.
Plus, Addy had taken Lulu

WHY WON'T HE DIE?
I summon and summon and blast him with everything I have and keep Auron out of the part as he slows us down to easy death and god damn Seymour won't die.

Go to O'aka's brother, buy holy waters out the ass, customize one peice of armour for each character that has "Zombie Ward" at the very least on it (I used the old Seeker's bangles with Hp +10% and a free slot, since I wasn't gonna use 'em for anything else), start with Yuna, Tidus and Auron. Hastega everybody, protect everybody, switch people out for auron, haste them, protect them, switch out, etc. Just keep whacking away at Mort, since he's easier to hit, and it prevents the total annihilation attack (Which bones you, no matter what, since you prolly don't have autolife), and ALWAYS KEEP PROTECT UP. If he does his cross cleave, it'll take at least 2500 hp off without protect. Yuna can survive this, if she's gotten to the curaga part of the sphere grid by then. But only with Protect.
Other then that, make sure you run around, have all your aeons in overdrive beforehand, along with all your characters. You SHOULD have Auron's Banishing Blade by now. Use it on Seymour himself. And don't forget to use Kimhari and Yuna's trigger talk command, just for the hell of it.
Other then that? Be careful, summon your lower Aeons first (Valefor, Ifrit, Ixion, then shiva, then bahumut as a last resort), and keep pounding away. As long as you have enough holy waters to keep the lance of atrophy attack at bay, when your zombie ward doesn't kick in, you should be golden. If he dispells, bring in tidus and get haste first, everything else can wait, save protect (I.E. don't switch out Yuna to cast haste with Tidus, cast protect on yuna, then switch another character).
Nobody ever thinks to do it, of course, because of that unwritten tenant of CRPGs: Thou shalt hinder thine boss encounters with status ailments.

I forgot to notice that. He does have a 90% resistance, though, and it's only 2% per turn.. but at 70k HP.. well.. it adds up.

I shall remember that. And CONSTANT trouble. Argh argh argh.
I must level up now, as I suck... and didn't think of the Zombie Guard thing, so hm.

Just buy a FFX strategy guide (I have the one by Bradygames. No spoilers, always nice) and kick yourself over all the stuff you've missed (Which you can go back and get, if you want.).
You should have all but one letter of Al Bhed decipered (If you went into the cavern of the hidden Fayth, which is a great place to level), so it'd be nice to start anew, use the albhed compliation sphere and know it from the start.

Protect is really key to winning that boss fight, if I remember right, the real major things for the fight are holy water, hastega, poison, and protect. You don't HAVE to have overdrive summons to win, but having the previously mentioned is extremely needed, if you even want a chance to survive the fight.
