What kind of runner would you like to be?
For those of you that dont play here are the major archetypes:
Rigger: becomes one with their vehicle (can choose any modern car/tank/APC/chopper for your ride)
Decker: plugs directly into the matrix (internet), these are the hacker types.
Mage: Duh.
Adept: Uses magic to enhance their body, these are the martial artist types.
Street Sammy: Urban warriors, uses massive amounts of cyberware to turn them into ultra fast killing machines.
Black ICE quakes in ph34r of me, baybee.

[EDIT] Speaking of Shadowrun, I've never tried it, but I'd be interested in playing, if anyone ever wanted to do a test-adventure or something. Just a note.

Cap'n Elethi had this to say about Reading Rainbow:
Who or what is Lonestar?
Texas based corp that provides law enforcement to most citys (for a fee)
Also know as: The cops, pigs, and those bastards who caught me when I was trying to smugggle a minigun into the airport onder my coat.
They serve as the "bad guy" for most shadowrunners

And if that's taken, I'll be a rigger that has an AH-64 Apache Longbow, oh yeah, you people with cars can kiss it.

Fennar had this to say about Cuba:
Rigger
Teal T-Top 1994 Camaro Z28.

Decker!
All the way!

There was much rejoicing when Fennar said this:
What kind of runner would you like to be?One more thing, I'm gonna need a cople of people to be Lonestar.
Adept is what I usually played. Sometimes a (Former Wage) Mage, but Adept was my thing. (Extra sword skill dice + custom balanced Aries Monosword + boosted Strength + specialization in Aries Monosword = Love)
I'm willing to be Lonestar if you want to use me as such.
Of course, I won't be suprised if you don't use me. A dragon head at a Shadowrun game would look more like the person that should be playing the big badguy pulling strings behind the scenes.

Anklebiter Model 2000 was programmed to say:
I'll be a rigger with a Pimped out tank
Any rigger stupid enough to try driving a tank downtown gets what they deserve. (Obvious military hardware gets an obvious military responce.)
Try a nice limo, with a popup missile rack in the trunk. Much more class, and much harder to spot in the areas where cops are more likely to be found.
[Edit]And set up a rigger jack in the back seat. That way, when the rest of the team is inside the corp building doing whatever, you can enjoy the minibar while waiting for them. [ 07-19-2002: Message edited by: Palador ChibiDragon ]

Jargum had this to say about Robocop:
Could a rigger have say, a small garage of different vehicles? Like 2 or 3?
Yes. For a good rigger, that's almost normal. Not to mention, the drones.
Most high end riggers also have a remote VCR (Vehicle Control Rig), and at least one vehilce set up to remote control with it. A remote VCR is essential for drones, naturally.
Either Adept or Street Sammy. Shadowrun needs more "hey, I'm not THAT bad of a guy" guys.

No, Really. Bite me.
Cannot live without the ability to set people on fire long-distance.
Rigger is my pride and joy. Two vehicles. I like to cover land, see, and air.
A Ford-Canada Bison with a submersible kit, for underwater work Not to mention the sliding cargo door that opens up for display of an m60 panel and a retracting anti-air missile rack on the roof. This is the winnebago from hell, my friend.
For air, a Hughes WK-2 Stallion. Your basic helicopter with reinforced armor, signal jammers, and landing gear-mounted missile systems and the whole shebang.
I'd go into extreme detail, but I get the feeling you really don't need to know THAT much
*Note all vehicles would have a rigger jack like Palador was talking about, and if I can get it right off the bat a VCR as well

Jargum spewed forth this undeniable truth:
Also what type of place is this, terrain wise?
Downtown Seattle.
"Don't want to sound like a fanboy, but I am with you. I'll buy it for sure, it's just a matter of for how long I will be playing it..."

Tricked out bond style cars are great, RV's-O-death are awesome, haveing enough firepower in your hideout to invade a third world contery will get you smacked down by bleeding edge tanks and fighter planes (which will most likely be armed with railguns instead of modern cannons).
Pleese keep this in mind

A sleep deprived Sutiiben Hantu stammered:
hi
I suppose its long past the point anyone really has to ask what class you would chose
I'd be a street sammy, or decker. With some EMP device to take out any lonestar riggers, these guys seem popular
So Lonestar.
I think Mightion and Delphi (and most paladins) should be Workin' For The Man and be Lonestar hehehehe
