If I'm reading this right, seems like Drys is getting fed up with so many threads of late turning into thermonuclear flame wars. I don't blame him.
Remember a while back, there was a thread asking something along the line of when we thought EC would end? And Piper said "When it ceases to be a joy to its creator."
Can't imagine flamewars make Drys too giddy.
Not that I'm supposing Drys is going to shut down EC or anything. I'd think of this as preventative community maintenance of the "ha ha ha it's all a great lot of fun til it's not funny anymore" variety.
But like Drys's post says; think twice before you post. Most of you will look over your stuff twice and say "okay I don't see anything wrong, haven't gotten bad responses on the whole, let's boogy," but some of us who've gotten snappish of late, and not funny with our responses will have to stop and say "mmm...is this really a good idea? or could I phrase things a little better"
Dose of prevention rather than solving the problem after the fact, I suppose.
