He was stupid about warez. If he asks nicely enough, perhaps sooner or later he will be let back in if he promises to obey the warez rules and be nice. I mean, it's not like he pulled a Paul554 or a N07 l337.

I have to agree with Suddar and mog on this one. It's been the norm for a warez thread to have the rule posted, and then locked. It's a bit hasty to ban Kegwen for a minor offense. That should be saved for heavy things.

Kegwen didn't even post warez. He said he gave it to someone else. So long as there wasn't a link, then why does he deserve a ban?

Or Liam. I've never seen Liam post anything else like what he posted in the later thread. Something like that doesn't deserve a ban, just a warning, and changing his post would do.

It's really only fair, Kegwen. If you're going to be banned for just mentioning you use it. Za should be banned, too. He did ask Drysart's permission to post about his work, but technically he's a warez user, which is what Kegwen was banned for.

I'll have to keep digging. I bet if I should old threads, I can find quite a number of people that have openly stated they use warez so they should be banned.

What's funny is that Kegwen *did* get a warning. It's just a bit stronger - had they decided he deserved a ban you can be sure as hell he wouldn't still be posting. They knew he had an alt account. Same with Liam - he still has Aedil (unless I am mistaken).

It's just a bit stronger of a warning than locking a thread.
