One that I rarley see mentioned that I think is a great game is Age of Wonders. It is very similar in feel to the old Master of Magic game.

Have to admit, haven't heard of any of the games you mention.

Suikoden was okay, but never really held my intrest for very long. As for Saturday Night Slam Masters, can you really say anything bad about a game that has Hagger in it?
I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

AS I've mentioned before, I'm a huge fan of the Suikoden series.

Also I played the first Deception game, loved it, nothing like being the bad guy and luring those heros to their deaths. I remember a couple of spike and crushing traps that were just plain sadistic.

As for my own games to add to the list, I'd say:

Vandal Hearts

It's one of the few turn based strategy games that really drew me in, that's a game I'd replay in a heartbeat, if I could ever find a copy of it. I originally rented it, so I don't have a copy of my own to play.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

For me, Vandal Hearts was just ugly and boring. But I was kinda spoiled by FFT.

I didn't feel the need to mention Vandel Hearts because I thought that was one of the games that everybody knew...

Hell I even bought the game

Ogre Battle & Ogre Battle 64 for SNES and N64, respectively

I had IoG. A good game from a good series.

Also see: Sol Blazer and Terranigma

But Terranigma can be a tad creepy.

It was a fairly early SNES game, the predecessor to both IoG and Terranigma.

Suikoden: VERY cool game. Too bad the sequel never lived up to it's name.
SegaCD Silpheed > PS2 Silpheed.
I bought Kartia, never got a chance to play it.
Illusion of Gaia. God, I wish I could buy this game. I loved it!
Ogre Battle: Again, another great game.
Septerra Core: Old skool RPG gaming in an easy to digest FF7 format.

Tales of Destiny may or may not qualify. It seems to have a small, though very dedicated, following.

As for SNES games, it's been a little too long for me. I can only remember which games I liked, not which ones were popular or unpopular. For instance, Axelay, Cybernator, and Robotrek: popular or unknown? I can't remember.

7th Guest - That was a cool game. You kind of had to like puzzles to enjoy it though.

Myth II - One of the funnest (and bloodiest) RTS games I know. There's nothing else like tossing a dwarven grenade into a pack of cattle, just to watch the parts go flying.

"He lets the last Hungarian go, and he goes running. He waits until his wife and kids are in the ground and he goes after the rest of the mob. He kills their kids, he kills their wives, he kills their parents and their parents' friends. He burns down the houses they grew up in and the stores they work in, he kills people that owe them money. And like that he was gone. Underground. No one has ever seen him again. He becomes a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. 'If you rat on your pop, Keyser Soze will get you.' And nobody really ever believes." - Roger 'Verbal' Kint, The Usual Suspects

Cyborg Justice ROCKED! I once had enemies rip both my arms off on my last life, had my friend playing with me guard me.

Legend of Legaia is an excellent RPG that isn't real big.

I miss it too Used to have it on a used laptop I bought, it was already on the harddrive. Lost it though when someone broke into my car to steal my laptop, as I didn't have any other copy.

Age of Wonders is a close replacement, but is different, more scenario based following a story line instead of fighting for the whole world.

I still have my Masters of Magic CD, fat lot of good that does me...and, does Age of Wonders have Fang the Draconian!? I thought not!!! I always recruited Fang, and he was always me...He was the only melee hero I used...
