Also, I would say this is the 2nd most asked about game of the year after Halo at my store. I'm so confused as to where all the hype came from because the trailers are fairly non-descript from what I've seen. I mean it's a really good looking game, but it just seems like another action-adventure title to me.

Well, it's a sandbox title, sort of like GTA of Jerusalem. Haven't you seen any of the videos for it? If those don't get you excited about it, IE: if you're not pumped about seeing Altair chasing some crazy motherfucker through the streets by striding, not jumping, from rafter to rafter, then I guess this just isn't for you.
I'm PUMPED, though.

The demo is a video. There is no playable demo, nor is there likely to be one as Ubisoft has said the game is too much of a sandbox to do a demo.

Rock Band, Call of Duty 4, Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 and to a lesser extent Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back? Everything huge is multiplatform this month except for Mass Effect, I believe.
