Is that better?

Pretty sure the official ruling on software copyright is that you can only secure rights to the brand and other IP items, not the actual susbtance it brings. Skaw fucked around with this message on 08-10-2007 at 08:14 PM.
quote:That's stupid, you're stupid. You played a demo of the game and you're ready to judge it shit? While that might be a halfway sound idea, DoW is barely the game it was back when it was first released. It's two expansions have added so much.
Kegwen.
yes and i disagree. Dawn of War's initial impression on me in the demo I played was pretty terrible but it's been a while and now I don't have a PC to play it so it's moot anyway
I've played both Starcraft and Dawn of War to their completions as well as participated in their respective multiplayer arenas. Dawn of War is a much better game than Starcraft is. It's a much more diverse and in-depth game. And if you feel the need to discuss this further, remember this: My opinion is much more informed than your opinion, so you're wrong WRONG WRONG DIE
The lore universes don't even begin to compare, as well. So what if Starcraft's and War40k's races are eerily similar? Starcraft's single player campaigns have a much more interesting story. But War40k's universe is at least twenty times more rich and textured than Metzen has the time or skill to create. Blackened fucked around with this message on 08-11-2007 at 01:39 AM.
Same with 40k having, what, 20+ years of lore with monthly magazines and editions. Starcraft has a game, an expansion, and like 6 books. Of course it has more lore.
side note: if more "in-depth" means a game was better that would mean that war3's intolerable ability/spell micromanagement bullshit approach would have made it a better game than Starcraft and oh god it wasn't even close
I thought War3 and Supreme Commander were pretty bad so maybe I just don't like most RTS games. I think I only like the relatively shallow ones like Starcraft and C&C. I'll admit that I've never played the incredibly well-received acclaimed Company of Heroes so I don't have an opinion on it
again though I'm sort of out of this whole scene for a while until I consider building another PC. I've currently put myself on just a Macbook (onboard Intel graphics!) and a 360 so yeah
