ACES! Another post by Greenlit:
hey guys i know we switched dev teams to those faggots who make tony hawk games but see we've got FANSERVICE so oh god please BUY OUR SEQUEL
Apparently they hired some of the guys that made up guitar trackings for the hacked PS2 players to do or at least help with their stuff. That's a good move, I think, and as I recall someone at 1up said that GH3's tracks felt "more like playing a guitar" than Harmonix's efforts. We'll see though, I guess.
I think both games will be worth playing though I anticipate that Neversoft will try way, way too hard to be edgy and to please the hardcore fans. Harmonix always tries to please everyone with mixed results. If I had to choose between the two I'd go for Rock Band, but I plan on buying both.
quote:Why is this worth noting? Rock Band will still do fabulously and, more likely than not, establish a great franchise. People who buy Guitar Hero 3 will eventually consider buying Rock Band. And vice versa. Neither franchise will be in danger of disappearing.
Kegwen.
Also it's worth noting that GH3 will vastly outsell Rock Band due to it being on every significant platform and having an established name.

Blindy. had this to say about Tron:
Why the hell would you buy GH3 over rockband?
if you don't have a ps3 or 360. A lot of people have PS2s you know
yeah I don't know why I felt it was "worth noting" beyond the obvious "hurr there are less 360s/PS3s out there than PS2s (and Wiis and 360s and PS3s combined I suppose) surprise!" Kegwen fucked around with this message on 07-27-2007 at 10:39 AM.

If you don't know about it.
And shit, why not buy both?

Besides, why the fuck wouldn't you buy both if you had the money? (If both got decent reviews that is. It's entirely possible for Neversoft to fuck things up.)
