Mr. Parcelan.
Your picture showed up in Helldump.
So some retard actually went out and spent ~$10 + ~$8.95 a month just to be a dick to someone they have never met over the internet?

I'm not even sure what the hell I'm being made fun of for there. So some retard actually went out and spent ~$10 + ~$8.95 a month just to be a dick to someone they have never met over the internet?

So asking for print layout/photoshop advice in CC is verboten if it's for your wedding, because only gays get married to hot chicks amirite lol fag lol.

Either way whichever jackass sniped the domain didn't even post a "lol i sniped that dude's domain lol" in the thread so I don't know what the hell they even thought they were doing.

You advertised your engagement several times on internet message boards; you really shouldn't be surprised that someone did something like this, really.
Yeah because paying $130 to park on a domain with purposefully incorrect information for a year is totally normal response to someone daring to post about a significant event in their personal life in a forum you frequent.
I should have totally expected this! Blindy. fucked around with this message on 07-03-2007 at 06:44 PM.

Put your life online, and someone with plenty of expendable time & money will fuck with you eventually.
Sorry you didn't expect it, but the best you can do now is learn from your mistakes.

I've never paid more than $13/year for a domain.
He's hosting it on yahoo web hosting, which is, at minimum, $8.95 a month + registration fees.
I'm just saying, this is not what I would call normal.
Buying a guy a $10 title on SA, that's normal enough.
Bitching about or flaming them, that's also pretty normal.
Going to find their engagement announcement, paying $10-20 to buy a domain, then forking over $9-12 a month for hosting, then making a web page with a slightly mutated version of their announcement, just to throw off grandma when she types in the wrong address or whatever.. that's borderline crazy.
It would be one thing if it were one of you guys, who I annoy all the time, but no one knows who the fuck I am on the SA forums. Why would anyone pay that much money to mess with a complete stranger? Blindy. fucked around with this message on 07-03-2007 at 07:16 PM.
Hell, it obviously matters so much that I'd pay ten bucks a year to have jen-and-tom.com be a barnyard porn website. Better watch that renewal when it comes up! Asha'man fucked around with this message on 07-03-2007 at 07:25 PM.
good lord it's a fucking website domain

Ok! I'll tell that to my extended family when they inevitably transpose our names while typing and end up at this website, the content of which I have no control over! Thank you for making it clear to me!
Why do you need a website for a wedding?

Just curious here. Why do you need a website for a wedding?
So people get a map to the locations, RSVP via the internets, have links to our gift registries, view some funny photos from the bachelor party, whatever.
The reason this is bothering me is that the guy bothered to look up our engagement announcement and inject erroneous information into it, then build a website at this address, posing as our actual website. To me that signifies hostile intent, and the fact that he's paying money per month to host it really gives me pause.
If all he did was buy the domain, I wouldn't give two shits. That's a $13 prank and takes all of three seconds of effort. Blindy. fucked around with this message on 07-03-2007 at 08:42 PM.
I really don't know what to think about this whole thing, to be honest. I don't think I'd be very happy if someone did this kind of shit to me, but then again, making a website for a wedding seems like you're going a bit overboard with the whole thing. Yeah it's not something we need, but I thought it would be a nice extra touch.
