I found it endlessly amusing when someone would blow a counterspell or whatnot on my hearthstone that conveniently looks exactly like both healing wave spells <_<

nothing like fooling them mages with those "Fake out" heals

only to put yourself on a global cooldown + the time of the 'real' heal

and then to find your intended heal target dead

I don't know what kind of "group pvp" you ran in and I don't care what class your intended healing target is, focus fire will drop anything in a second if you're not sustaining HPs.

Maybe faking out mages is a good tactic for classes with GOOD quick heals, or damage shields... But as a Paladin I just cannot see it being relible enough, especially with the inconsistancies of PvP timing in WoW.

If someone is getting focus fired hard enough to drop them in a second, that flash heal wasn't going to save their life anyway. I really think this is a silly conversation. I state the way I heal, then explain how I make it work, you inform me that you 'can't imagine how it could work'. I just told you how it works for me.

It's not 100% reliable, no. But if I need 100% reliability, I pop my bubble. That's what it's there for - un-interruptable healing. For everything else, my friends and I have learned how to take out the classes that can stop me from healing first.

This is exactly why I don't think Willias should be listening to any PvP experience you pass on. I doubt he's gonna be ridin' dirty with a bunch of friends. That's a major convenience I don't think he'll ever have.

So instead of giving him information on how to heal when all your little buddies are stomping the crap out of mages and rogues and all those other times you went (you + your friends) vs. 2, try solo PvP Paladin situations.

Which is what I assume Sean is doing but he's such a tremendous faggot I can't be sure

Well with you having that job thing I had to go solo a lot, you know. But even when you were around it was like I was soloing.

Just adding a few cents in.

Holy guidance isn't just bugged for SoR, it's currently bugged for all melee attacks, adding it's 35% of your intellect to melee attacks, non-sacaling. so if you get this, learn to love Seal of the Crusader. With it my DPS jumps from something like 110 to 160, and I have shit gear.

If you're looking forward to leveling, apparently the new reckoning with a 2h about 2.7 or 2.8 speed is going to be just rape, as with Seal of Crusader you can get all four attacks off in the window. Hell, the new reckoning is just awesome in general.

As for the talent bujild you posted, if you're going that far in holy and ignoring the other trees I'd say drop Toughness and pick up Guardian's favor and Blessed life, and change the improved devotion aura to redoubt, unless you never use a shield. With Holy Guidance it's better to almost always use a shield and really goddamn fast 1 hander though. Since you're alreadt 41 points in holy anyways I'd say take a point from purifying power and move it to Divine Illumination. I know ten seconds isn't much, but that can possibly be 5 holy lights. Hell you could just move those two points in it to Pure of Heart. or unyielding faith.

Huh? I have less downtime with my mage than with my hunter. The free food and water makes soloing much easier. With an ice spec it is very easy to solo with little/no downtime.

I went from 1 to 47 on a Hunter and I think I had one minute of downtime one time to take a pee.

Fuck solo pvp. Even more so as a paladin.

I'm rerolling on Dark Iron and rejoining the PA Alliance. Hopefully get back in with the Fancy Lads.

Well, I haven't gotten very far yet (only 10) but I will say this: I'm pleasantly surprised with how much damage I've gotten the character to do so far, and have enjoyed beating up people several levels higher than me in Goldshire.

Just need to figure out where to go to get a better weapon. D:

Stick with it to 20, then do the class quest asap for a 2h mace that'll last you until your 30s.

here's the thing.

With a hunter, fighting even or less mobs, you literally never have to stop. Never. You might take it slow on one or two and let your pet do more damage while you just auto shot or melee, but there is no reason you should ever not be in the process of killing something.

With a mage, you have to stop every 6 or 8 to drink. No mana = no damage.

Playing my lowbie mage, I discovered the truth of the "no mana = no damage" thing at the worst times. Was kinda funny, actually.

But you're exactly right about hunters. Plus to be honest if I'm keeping the stupid pet fed it damned well better be killing stuff ALL the time.
