You'll be extremely well equipped until level 67 or so.
Then you'll start finding upgrades through blue gear.
BWL epics = moderate to weak level 70 blues.
Naxx epics = really really nice level 70 blues.

Actually, starting at 67, depending on how good your Tier 2 stuff is, you may start finding green drops that will replace BWL level gear.
By the time you get 70, you probably won't be running around in much of your Naxx gear.
For example, there's apparently a green level 62 warlock set that drops in Hellfire that gives somewhere around +204 STA and +213 spell damage (though no INT), along with 23 additional spell damage for having 2 pieces equipped, and 14 spell crit rating for having 4 pieces equipped. Quest rewards for 60-61 quests, all of them are greens except for the chest mentioned:
Neck, 15 agility, 28 attack power
Neck, 13 str, 18 stam, +12 hit rating
Chest, leather, +36 str, +14 agility, +19 stam, +10 hit rating, +10 dodge rating
Pants, leather, +33 stam, +26 crit rating, +44 attack power
Trinket, +26 crit rating, use: +200 attack power for 10 seconds, 2 minute cooldown
Yup, those epics we all got sure seem awesome now!

If they are Honor-based rewards or needing a specific rank to acquire, that will not be as easy.
To answer the last question, there isn't really any kind of compensation being offered for points that are being removed. There simply isn't an equitable way to quantify the value of old Honor points to New honor points. EVeryone is starting fresh and the chips must fall where they may.

Personally I've always wanted an 8 piece engineering armor suit with an 8 piece bonus that prepends 'Mecha-' to your name.
