We don't use druid offtanks generally... then again we bring like 8 warriors. =\ Our druids are all specced for healing.

and the trash talking red server elitists are at it already

As it turns out though, red servers rarely have any guilds that manage to keep the drama at bay long enough to raid the high level instances for very long. Probably because they're populated mainly by ignorant juvenile pricks just like every red server in every MMO has been. But at least when we hand their asses to them, they'll be able to cry about not having enough epix to beat us.

Or maybe PvP players don't like PvE raiding? I know some uber PvP guilds that are far more organized and have less drama than your average uber PvE guild. The only difference is that you just have to have a thicker skin than the average wannabe uber carebear.

Note, I'm a carebear in general and generally dislike uber guilds in general so I'm not really biased here.

The opinions I expressed were based off a guild member of mine who has level 60 characters in prominent guilds on two different PVP servers.

Her exact words were that all the capable high level guilds collapsed due to internal strife before they could get very much done. The ones that last do everything veerrry sloooowly.

I'd think the collapses of the guild were due to WoW not appealing to PvP players. Most of the hardcore PvP guilds abandoned WoW long ago. Plus, you really can't gauge PvP guilds with PvE raiding performance. Hardcore PvP players can't stand high end raiding in general, and many of them are still pissed they couldn't get PvP gear as good as PvE gear.

Neither side is better than the other. I've seen organized, low drama PvP and PvE guilds and I've seen disorganized, high drama PvP and PvE guilds. The only differences are that the PvP guilds require a thicker skin and the PvE guilds require you to deal with greedier players.

PvP guilds fall apart because you get owned with people using PvE epic gear. So then you try to do some PvE stuff with PvP oriented people with PvP specs... it just does not work.

That's not really part of it.

PvP guilds fall apart just like PvE guilds fall apart. The leadership usually ends up turning out to be a bunch of jackasses, and the guild breaks up once they piss each other off. Or, the guilds members gain such a horrid reputation for foul play that the leadership disbands the guild to start anew.

It's a lot easier to get a bad rep on a PvP server though, as your actions in a Battleground carry more weight than they do on a PvE server (more people care about the PvP that goes on in them) and if your members are constantly caught corpsecamping or low level camping, it gets a bad rep associated with it.

Having played on a PvP server, the asshole : good player ratio is about the same as it is on a normal server, but the assholes tend to band together more, and can do more annoying shit than they can on a regular server. And since they have more power on their server, they tend to be more vocal as well.

I'm seriously psyched for this. Being on Daggerspine for the past year and a half I've come to hate pug BGs. All due to Kuroma and his band of healers.

Kuroma has been Grand Marshall on our server since November and ranked #1 across all servers since March.

He is a nightelf druid who tends to run around in any BG with 3 Priests and 1 Druid friend.

At first, we all thought he was just pvping a lot.

Then it turned into a pile of crap due to the fact he is used by 4 or 5 people nowadays to have him constantly pvping 24/7

His record streak server and game wide will not be beat nor would anyone want to bother doing it.

I'm just glad that hes finally gonna be able to annoy other horde besides Daggerspine.

However, when my guild does ab, we can come out with a 50% win rate against Kuroma's squad. So whoever else is horde in the bracket with Daggerspine, have fun with him.

Guilds with Nef Down: 17
Guilds with C'thun down: C'thun: 3

Kel'thuzad (PvP):
Ragnaros Down: 43

Most of them. With the exception of two that I can see, all of the ones who have broken up are guilds who hadn't started BWL yet. None of the post-C'thun guilds have broken up, and one of the higher-end guilds who broke up simply reformed under a different name.

Our guilds are surviving just fine.

My pvp server (Detheroc) is getting really bad RP-PVP trolls from Staghelm. It's hilarious.
Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

Well, that would be because you are a WARRIOR.

You never had to do five-mans with Garlic.

As long as you're not soul link I'm looking forward to running into you. I'm sure I'll lose, but it'll be an adventure.

I acutally respec'd affliction - SM/Ruin to be specific. I decided that I really wasn't doing much with any of the MD buffs and the DS buffs were becoming a crutch more than anything.

I do miss the 800 or so HP that demonic embrace granted me, but I've still got a little under 5000 hp, and honestly if someone is beating on me 800 hp won't make a difference if I can't dig up some way to blast them.

Soul link really is an awesome talent if you have shitty gear. Being able to offload 30% of incoming damage to your pet is great when you have 2000-3000 hp since by the time your pet drops you're almost dead anyway. Even the 3% damage boost is a bigger help than ruin until you get a lot of +dmg gear. Once you start to get some of the epix, talents like shadow mastery, ruin, and the demo sac buffs begin to outshine soul link by a lot.

When you have a shitload of HP, it seems like every glancing blow causes your pet to pop like an overripe avocado, and since all warlocks rely fairly heavily on pet abilities, this is bad. To top it off, the benefit of ruin scales exponentially with how much +crit and +dmg gear you have, whereas the measly linear scaling of the SL 3% doesn't.

Blindy.
