Fingertapping and everything. Impressive.

I've been thinking about getting this game, since I might not suck as badly at it as I do at the real geetar.

EDIT: Huh, quotes don't seem to be working right.

Also 5 buttons make this alot harder. Four would have been so much easier to your hands

I take it there will be a point to strum up and down so I can't use my elbow for the Whammy bar?

Only need to strum one direction, though strumming both up and down can be helpful later when you've gotta rapidly hit notes. But I only strum upwards, I'm so weird.

And easily one of the hardest parts of the game is learning to hit the orange button, but once you've got that down, you can pretty much do anything in the game. BoTM and CBfH mostly require memorization.

Finished beating it on Easy. The hardest song was No One Knows. You fucking need to do Hammer Ons on that one. Took me like 5 tries to get 5 stars.

The first stage on Medium is harder than any songs on Easy. That fucking blue not came out of no where and every note is a chord. I shall conquer all.

In other news, the Grim Ripper shall be my first purchase.

I generally swivel the whammy bar to a slight angle under the strum bar and hook it with my pinky, Alternately, I'll just go hands free on it with the really long sustained notes.

Damn.. gotta go play now...

edit: 45 minutes later.. nope. Still cant do CfH and BatM on expert
double edit: It's wildly rumored that the CfH expert video is faked. (damn impressive nonetheless)

My friends and I tried Bark at the Moon on expert for shits and giggles, and I don't think I lasted more than 25 seconds. Such great party game though.

I went out and bought it today. Got my sister's 10% discount for her working at Target so with tax it was like 67 bucks.

I'm done with Easy and I'm on tier 4 medium. Just trying to get everything before I actually move up to the difficulty I actually don't get 5 stars at.

That's what we did for my birthday. We went out to dinner, then headed to a friend's house and played this for a few hours. We had 8 people, everyone cheering each other on. Us girls were trying to get the guys to practice their "rock star" stances and swivel hips. Eventually they all gave up and sat down to play.

Only one of us had ever played it before, and we totally skipped over the tutorial. We just picked songs at random that we liked and played them. It was a riot.

It's not hard. The biggest thing is getting the part near the end and mastering switching from GY and RB chords.

I kept getting 4 stars on it. At least it helped me practice Hammer Ons and Pull Offs.

If you are having to use hammer ons and pull offs in normal you are going to have a hella fun time in expert.

Is it possible to get below 3 stars in this game?

I just hit 35% of the notes in a song (I Love Rock and Roll) on Easy and still got 3 stars.

Well that's kind of retarted.

As a side note, I seem to play this game much better while sober. And you guys suck for talking about it and making me want to get my own copy.

Eh, kinda. Except that you have to be able to play the songs somewhat to complete them. To get 4 or 5 stars you have to be able to play the song and hit the majority of the notes.

That being said, just completed the game tonight.

Yeah, I did it on purpose.

I only hit the notes with Star Power and when Star Power was active I hit every 4 notes.
