Btw, wtf, Ashkandi + Wrath? Get DPS gear. >_< There's a joke warrior running around on our server, he has that sword equipped... with full wrath and Styleen's.
Wrath would give him good survivability in PvP, and he'd still be able to do some decent damage if he filled everything else in with stuff like +agi/str/crit. It's true that he'd be best served in most cases with DPS gear instead, but wearing tanking gear to a BG isn't as bad of an idea as you might think.

You can never have too many spikes.

Actually, Maradon is right. One of my best friends plays a warlock in my guild and has 8/8 Nemisis and wears 3. This is his profile. And no, he doesn't pull aggro on fights and is normally very high up on the DM meters.Just shove that foot all the way in your mouth Delphi.
One of your friends, huh?
Roll a warlock to 60 and then tell me how to play my class plz k thx~
As for the transcendence bonuses, like Addy said, it doesn't look good on paper, but it OWNS in practice. Two of our best priests swear by it, and I'm inclined to believe them, seeing as how they're on every raid, and it even saves them on Stage3 Nefarian.
As for DPS.. I'm up with the mages after switching to nemesis, which is just under the rogues for overall damage. I'm not a slacker, but I know my role. Four warlocks = shadows, elements, recklessness and weakness. Bolts otherwise.
Many a warlock and/or caster go for the ungodly crits, but don't realize that eventually they'll catch up with them. And while yes, it's nice for PvP.. it doesn't help you at all to have a 30% spellcrit rate with oodles of damage in PvE. Sorry.

Spikes rule. The big shoulder ones will go away eventually, but my helm will always have two spikes -- either like they are now or growing out the front of my head.

In both my old guild and my new alliance, we've always had a warlock in tons of +damage gear with little nemesis. Said warlock always ends up in the top 5 or so when it comes to damage, which is freakish. The warlock in my new raid group is at about +430 damage and she wears about 5 pieces of nemesis.
Hell, I'm hovering around +300 right now and regularly bolt in the 800s. The ONLY time I manage to pull aggro is when I manage to crit something right after it has cleared aggro via some ability (hello 4 crits in a row on a Gurubashi berserker).
Anyways, Imp + Salv = 50% reduction of aggro. 50% is VERY nice. 50% will help keep you from getting aggro. Anyways, I'd prefer full felheart over full nemesis -- 15% boost to efficiency is pretty nice. In the end, though, I'd prefer a pure damage suit. Granted, I'm not saying Nemesis is crap -- particularly if it fits your playstyle. Just that it isn't the only way to go for a lock.

Some of us aren't newb-specced and can't have Tranquil Air because they're in the MT group.
As I said, even without the easy-mode raid spec of MD/Ruin, I top the damage charts. Even over people with TA now, due to the 8-peice nemesis.
Could I do more, if I had TA, MD/Ruin and the like? Sure. But I'd be bored as fuck when soloing without my precious affliction talents.

Lol you top the damage meters? Do your rogues/mages/hunters suck?

Not much has changed... War Paint shield (turtle shell-type shield) and Hammer of Orgrimmar. He's just around for when I really feel like getting away from everything, but I still want to play WoW.
Yes the weapons glow green. Rather pathetic, I have 5/8 Bloodfang but I'm still stuck in Shadowcraft Shoulders and a ZG Rogue Bracer (only because it's slightly better than the SC Bracer).

You have on a funny hat!
That being said, FFXI sounds like it might get cool with the next x-pack. You know, with the addition of blue mages.
Any idea on what level you're supposed to be able to get to with the solo content they're adding?

Whats cheating?? I earned both of those Assassination blades fair and square... getting the Lifesteal enchant on both was a cast-iron biatch to save for though...
IMHO, my equip is pretty crap for my level..

I honestly have no clue. Given what level Chains of Promathia starts at, I'd say 30.
But being as how the entry point for the new city is a seperate boat in Mhaura, it could be 20, as early as 15.
But personally, I'm leaning towards 30, since thats the level you need to be to quest for the jobs. Skaw fucked around with this message on 03-18-2006 at 03:17 AM.
My gnome wants to get to that point one day.

Not that I play anymore or anything, but I found these after fearing that all of my FFXI related pictures were lost. However, with the new expansion pack, I may play again, and I wouldn't mind having to start over from scratch.
All and all, my best looking character. And some of the best adventures I ever had in a MMO.
I got the opportunity to use the CoV costume items... so I took a pirate hat ^-^ I wonder if they will remove all of this stuff when they fix it, or if I can keep it? hehehe
