Its not retarded. It doesn't exactly help the economy, but guild sellers are going to exist in a MMO nowadays and you can't change that. As the prices get as low as they have for WoW, its easier and more logical to buy the gold than to farm. I'd rather pay some cash for the gold than spend the little time I have to play grinding it out.

Yup. And those days are over. Its not a good thing and I don't exactly like it, but its the norm now. As a dev, you'll have a hard time fighting it. As a player, its pointless to fight it.
