Looking forward to Spartan: Total Warrior. Looks like Dynasty Warriors from the Rome: TW guys. Also looking forward to Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, which is sort of an offshoot from Age of Empires (most of the same people, very similar gameplay, few different aspects), but Age of Empires III is apparently coming out soon so I'm not sure which I'll get.

Also looking forward to FFXII, whenever that comes out, because no matter how obnoxious or stupid a Final Fantasy looks, I usually get atleast a decent amount of gameplay out of it. However, getting a bit impatient and starting to worry that FFXII won't live up to the wait (see the ytmnd).

Rule number one of Game Club: DO NOT TALK ABOUT DYNASTY WARRIORS
Rule number two of Game Club: DO NOT TALK ABOUT DYNASTY WARRIORS

I swear if X-Play is right about nothing else, it's the fact that all the god damned Dynasty Warrior and Romance of the Three Kingdoms games are essentially the same game...over...and over...and over...

Dynasty Warriors is the action gamer's Madden.

If you're not a diehard fan, you won't be able to tell the difference between each version, and you simply won't like them.

A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, you go left.

It's not something people hear about.

Yeah, but they're fun.

Since I can get GC + SSBM for $99, less if I'm savvy and find a good used, I might buy GC for this game.

Yeah pretty much. I've tried to play Dynasty Warriors. I got through one of them, thought it was rather fun, tried to play the second. Microscopically better graphics, no real change to game play. And pretty much it's been that way for a while now. It's like a slow-evolving bacteria that infects everything.

This is why you play the Kingdom Under Fire series. It is the evolution of the Dynasty Warrior series.

Kingdom Under Fire is spectacular. The combination of battalion/unit management and single-player action smash is a great idea.

All KUF needs to be absolutely perfect is to be taken out of the hands of the Koreans.

Are you implying that it will be so good that it can be compared to oral sex?

Meh. I'm going to play it no matter how shitty it is.

That and Star Trek Online.
