Probably.... In fact now that I think about it I know I am.Basic Instinct... is that the one with the chair scene?
Yes

Believe so. With Sharon Stone I think.

Some people are like Slinkys... Not really good for anything, But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Jackman had this to say about Optimus Prime:
I guess they are making the corpse bride which seems like the nightmare before christmas 2.
The Corpse Bride is an old folkltale. That looks pretty good, actually.

I was horribly dismayed until I heard that Terry Gilliam was directing
EDIT: Whoops, wrong smiley. BTW, for those who don't know, Terry Gilliam is the brain behind films such as The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and Brazil. Sentow, Maybe fucked around with this message on 07-16-2005 at 11:03 PM.

I thought it looked good too. had no idea it was not an orginal story though.
Eh, it's original insofar as how they do it. But there's an old fairy tale where a man puts a ring on a corpse and she comes to life and all that jazz.
Definitely got my interest with this, though.

Wow...
Just...
Wow...
In other news, I saw a panel today at Comic-con about the movie they're making for Doom. I wasn't expecting much, but it actually looks like it might be decent. The mock FPS sequence was kinda lame, though. (It was just like watching someone else play the game for 10 minutes, only boring).

Tarquinn had this to say about Robocop:
I assume that I am the only one who thinks that "The Butterfly Effect" was a good and intense movie, yes?
Like I said, I really liked it, but I still don't understand why they went with the ending that they did. Have you seen the director's cut? Kait fucked around with this message on 07-17-2005 at 09:52 PM.

Kait obviously shouldn't have said:

Three minutes.

Verily, Freschel Spindrift doth proclaim:
Speaking of movie remakes. Someone should remake "Manos, The Hands of Fate". There's nothing that they can do to make it a lot worse than the original. Think about it. By the way, I nominate Tom Cruise as Torgo. You know the guy who used the thighmaster once to many.
The charm of Manos, The Hands of Fate lies in its sheer awfulness. Any remake would almost certainly be a bigger abomination than the Godzilla remake.

You know, more people would reconise him as A Memeber of Monty Python, than as a director of those movies, Slick.
"I am... Baron Munchausen!"
"That sounds nasty, is it contageous?"
"Have you any famous last words?"
"Not yet."
"'Not yet'? Is that famous?"
"What's this?"
"This is our prototype RX Intercontinental, radar-seeking, multi-warheaded nuclear missile."
"What does it do?"
"Kills the enemy."
"All the enemy?"
"All their wives, and all their children, and all their sheep, and all their cattle, and all their cats and dogs. All of them gone for good."
"That's horrible."
"Well, you see, the advantage is you don't have to see them die. You just sit comfortably thousands of miles away from the battlefield and simply press the button."
"Where's the fun in that?"

Three minutes.
You sat there with a stopwatch? Wow.
Regardless of whatever time it takes, it -felt- like ten to 15 minutes, and therein lies the problem.

It felt like three minutes to me!

Unfortunately, I was deliberately listing movies that he directed and which weren't related to Monty Python, since Brothers Grimm is a movie which he is directing and has nothing to do with Monty Python.

He also did 12 Monkeys... I only mention this because I watched it again today.

Superman returns could be made better by changing it to "The death and return of superman".
No.
Because we like to pretend the death of Superman never happened.
It's not something people hear about.
They better come out with that shit real soon or else I'm going to start cracking some skulls.
