Believe so. With Sharon Stone I think.

Speaking of movie remakes. Someone should remake "Manos, The Hands of Fate". There's nothing that they can do to make it a lot worse than the original. Think about it. By the way, I nominate Tom Cruise as Torgo. You know the guy who used the thighmaster once to many.
Who's that crazy kook that's destroying the world. It's Zorc (That's me) It's Zorc and Pals.
Bakura: Did you forget our anniversary, again? (laughter)
Zorc: Yes, I was busy destroying the world (laughter) Slaughtering millions. (Laughter)
Bakura: That's my Zorc.

Death: Oh great! Thanks a lot. As if it wasnt already hard enough to fit in.

The Corpse Bride is an old folkltale. That looks pretty good, actually.

Let's talk about The Brothers Grimm.

I was horribly dismayed until I heard that Terry Gilliam was directing

EDIT: Whoops, wrong smiley. BTW, for those who don't know, Terry Gilliam is the brain behind films such as The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and Brazil.

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Eh, it's original insofar as how they do it. But there's an old fairy tale where a man puts a ring on a corpse and she comes to life and all that jazz.

Definitely got my interest with this, though.

In other news, I saw a panel today at Comic-con about the movie they're making for Doom. I wasn't expecting much, but it actually looks like it might be decent. The mock FPS sequence was kinda lame, though. (It was just like watching someone else play the game for 10 minutes, only boring).

Tarquinn had this to say about Robocop:
I assume that I am the only one who thinks that "The Butterfly Effect" was a good and intense movie, yes?

Like I said, I really liked it, but I still don't understand why they went with the ending that they did. Have you seen the director's cut?

The charm of Manos, The Hands of Fate lies in its sheer awfulness. Any remake would almost certainly be a bigger abomination than the Godzilla remake.

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Monty Python.

"I am... Baron Munchausen!"
"That sounds nasty, is it contageous?"

"Have you any famous last words?"
"Not yet."
"'Not yet'? Is that famous?"

"What's this?"
"This is our prototype RX Intercontinental, radar-seeking, multi-warheaded nuclear missile."
"What does it do?"
"Kills the enemy."
"All the enemy?"
"All their wives, and all their children, and all their sheep, and all their cattle, and all their cats and dogs. All of them gone for good."
"That's horrible."
"Well, you see, the advantage is you don't have to see them die. You just sit comfortably thousands of miles away from the battlefield and simply press the button."
"Where's the fun in that?"

You sat there with a stopwatch? Wow.
Regardless of whatever time it takes, it -felt- like ten to 15 minutes, and therein lies the problem.

Unfortunately, I was deliberately listing movies that he directed and which weren't related to Monty Python, since Brothers Grimm is a movie which he is directing and has nothing to do with Monty Python.
