Can't Start the Game, goes to n903 Error page saying Patching Server is down.
But this game is complicated. I gotta read some manuals.
I'm Orion, a RAwhatevertheguyrobotsare.
Your combos aren't working because you don't just do them as fast as you can, you have to time it right. Try starting one hit toward the end of another. After a bit of practice you should get it down.
Feeding your mags raises its stats and, eventually, transforms it into a new one. Different items raise different stats and different amounts of stats. After you get your mag started you can use an ability from it that basicaly cockslaps anything in the target area.

And I have these disk things, that say use to learn tech, disappear when used once, but I can't use them. Most of them say MST Needed and then some numbers, what does that mean and how do I get MST?
Those are basically spell scrolls. The MST ###(###) is how much of whatever stat (MST = magicness) you need so basically, you don't meet the requirements. THe parenthetical numbers are how much you have right now.
quote:
Same for Weapons, I couldn't use Sabres for a while, and then all the sudden I could. (Playing a Ranger btw, big surprise)
Again, you didn't meet the requirements at the time for the weapon.
As for using your Mag's abilities, like Photon Beam, there's a bar...up by your health I think...and when it's full you hit a key (One of the triggers on the DC) and it fires with a really colorful, and usually animal-based, attack.
quote:
Also, is there any point for me using a Sabre over the Handgun anyway? Being a Ranger and All, if I equip it, it takes away my gun. Which means no ranged shots right? So Meleeing then? Not such a good thing I assume, as a Ranger?
Usually a sabre will have better attack damage and stuff plus I think there was a way to switch weapons. Even if there's not a D2-style weapon switching key, having one on and the other in your inventory could be very useful. Shoot at 'em while you can and switch for close combat when they get next to you.
Hopefully that answers everybody. Anything else I can help with?

Is there anyway to see how XP I need to level? I can't seem to find it
Hit the menu button, F12 or whatever it is for keyboards. It should say something like Next or some such. It's under total exp.

How do I set those little numbered hot buttons?
I was wondering this myself, finally figured it out.
Open up the menu, hit techniques, then hit the number you want it assigned to. For easier using of the many spells and such.
Or it SHOULD work this way. I can't test as the servers are down or full.

Gasp! Don't feed Addy to the Dragon! Bad bad Fae! No cookie for j00! <swats Fae with a rolled up newspaper>
Which just pings the servers to see if they are up. It is now 9:45pm and the patch servers just finally came up, game still down.. qwertyu fucked around with this message on 05-12-2005 at 12:44 AM.
Is there a way to get TP back without having to use Monofluids type stuff? Or wasting a Telepipe to go see the doctor.
I decided to try out a force, so TP is kinda vital as I have found without Techs Im kinda useless. (Yes, Im aware it says its one of the hardest to play or whatever.) But Monofluids costs 100 a piece, and you go through them fast as a Force and the cost reallly adds up fast.
Also, I picked the Force that said it was "Support" cause I figured Id try the supportive role thing, and I DO have Resta, which is a heal, but how do I heal Teammates, it seems to be self only.

Newmans can regenerate TP naturally, all others need to rely on items. That isn't too bad because monofluids are very common. I suggest getting the ice spell as soon as you can because it only costs 4TP to cast and can hit enemies in a line. Then try to get a Handgun as soon as possible so you don't have to get too close to your enemies. As for the heal I believe the Lv.1 version can only heal yourself, higher level versions can heal multiple people.
Once you Finish all the Side Story quests when doing One Person Mode, there's nothing left for you to do alone? Always have to do team missions from that point?
I finished all the One Person Side Story mode missions the Hunter Guild lady gives you, and now she has nothing new for me. I went all the way through and soloed the Dragon, and nothing new opened up after that either.
So, you have to do Team Missions after you finish all the Side Story quests then?

Batty had this to say about dark elf butts:
Need to do the main quests given by the principal, gotta do it in normal mode.
Normal Mode versus One Person Mode? Or Normal mode on Difficulty, cause I have always played normal mode difficulty.
Wont Normal Mode be geared towards a party though, so things will be ramped up in numbers and such or what?
Anyways, where do people hang out usually?

Resta 3 is when the spell begins to do AE instead of just self-target. Each level of it increases the radius of your heal.
And yeah, as a FO I'm always broke. Woo!

Doesn't work that way. And I honestly wish I could bind things other than just Techs to that bar.
Oh, and the 'chance to auto-kill' dagger is nice.
Sonofabitch that was hard. Especially in the final room before the core that's full of these goddamn pop-up traps that shoot spells at you.

When you open the customization tab to put stuff in your action keys, hit the number keys instead of setting them to an action button.
I now have the basic healing and basic magic restore item on the hotbar.

Batty had this to say about Matthew Broderick:
Ship 3 Block 4 Lobby 1 is where I always hang out. And because I'm the only person with a usual place, most other people are there too. Name is Zinaire. Feel free to IM me or bug me in IRC or whatnot if you need stuff, I think I'm the highest level of the EC people because I love PSO.
What level are you now, anyways? I'm 14 myself.

Batty attempted to be funny by writing:
27 I think. I lost track somewhere.
Oh good, you're still only 5 levels ahead of me.

Ferret painfully thought these words up:

Haha. ;D I only got 1 level while playing with the shotty.
A bit too tricky for my taste

Mike the Butcher had this to say about the Spice Girls:
I figured out how to add items and sklls to the 1-10 hot buttons finally heh. First you go to the Customize window and then select one of the left - right - down buttons and then go to the screen that lets you change what is bound to that key. From there go to the item or skill you want hot buttoned and press the number you want it bound to.A bit too tricky for my taste
So you're saying I can bind not only Techs to the 1 - 0 keys, but also attacks?
Schweet.
