Still iffy, but if it's true, this just reinforces my notion that they don't know when to stop with nerfs.

They nerfed Warriors into uselessness when Warriors were top of the heap, now Paladins seem like they're going to be taken out of commission, too. As if they didn't have enough problems getting HKs.

If it's not true, go Paladins.

If it is true: Rogues, watch your backs. You're next.

That's twisted. Didn't they just devote part of a patch to making rogues MORE powerful?

That's not how things work.

When Warriors were powerful, they were extremely powerful. They voided Paladins in instances, they could tear apart any caster, rogue or even another Warrior. People complained...a lot of people complained and thusly, Warriors were given the "awesome changes" and became what they used to be and evolved slightly to what they are today.

That was back in Closed Beta, so few remember. But I'm sure everyone remembers the great Paladin outcry in which Paladins were taken down considerably and are still in the process of being taken down.

Basically, here's the formula for nerfs: a class will be punished if it meets one or more of the following criteria:

1) Has the advantage over a considerable number of classes than allowed (Warriors, for example, were meant to be killed by cloth-casters, following the rock-paper-scissors formula)

2) Consists of an immense number of the playerbase (such as when Paladins were the official "easy mode" and everyone had a Paladin)

3) Becomes supreme in its class category (Warriors were too great tanks, for example)

4) Infringes on another class' designated mastery (such as when Mages had invisibility)
