Taco Bell around here charges 99 cents to use the debit/credit card machine.

Not really. Cash is just as fast as credit/debit. Though it's mostly reliant on the cashier, and I can out preform any machine so I am biased.

I'll pretty much agree with you. Cash you just take it, shove it in your drawer, and give change(which is usually told to you). The credit/debit has to go out and be verified, then they either need to sign something or punch in a pin. Ends up pretty balanced out.

And cash does take the lead at our store when it gets busy. You can get times when you have to wait 5-10 seconds just to get it approved.
