That might have been something you should have mentioned earlier, heh. I knew about the tab (And was trying to bind keys with my controller), but it wasn't recognizing them.

The only way to get X-Men 6-player working is to use a badly hacked ROM. And that involves modifying the MAME game list to include it, which is a complete pain in the ass. Yes, it's because the 6-player needs 2 screens. No, it won't happen.

He put in a monitor to an old arcade case, then set up a keyboard under the joysticks and buttons (So they'd hit one key) and had configured each game.. for games with trackballs (Like golf), he hooked up a trackball and used it as the mouse.
He had like 30 bajillion games in it, too.. was awesome.

Unfortunately, I do not have a gamepad of any kind, and I got on there to try and play fighting games and realized it was futile to try and play MvC with a keyboard. So couldn't play DS either even though I much MUCH prefer DS of SF any day. (Except for Cammy )

All right, I'm having problems getting games to work on Mame. Somehow I got The Simpsons running yesterday, but nothing else is recognized. I downloaded the games, unzipped them into their own folder inside the roms folder, it didn't work. I tried not unzipping them and putting them into a folder inside the roms folder, still nothing. The only thing I can see is different is that The Simpsons folder has files in it that end in .rom, where as the other ones don't. Is there some step I'm missing or forgetting to do?
Don't give them their own folder. Don't unzip them.
After you have all the UNZIPPED files in the \roms folder, open MAME and go to file -> audit
I was so addicted to that, it was so hard.
Eventually I decided that I wanted to beat it for once so I got like 20$ worth of quarters and used it all on that game, got to the last boss and beat it.. Only for the game to go back to the first level instead of giving me an ending. >:(

#2 is that you can join much faster now.
When you open up the server list, at the bottom are five buttons. They're probably black.
Click the third button, and type in 'evercrest.com' and viola!
