I have the following deck built from the purchase of some packs and some cards from my brother:

1|Sye|Seven Tools of the Bandit
2|Ioc|A Hero Emerges
1|Ske|Jar of Greed
2|Mfc|Thunder of Ruler
2|Ske|Nobleman of Crossout
1|Sdp|Mystical Space Typhoon
2|Pgd|Swarm of Locusts
2|Dcr|Dragged Down Into The Grave
1|Sye|Change of Heart
1|Ske|Premature Burial
2|Ioc|Terrorking Salmon
1|Mfc|Luster Dragon
1|Mfc|Old Vindictive Magician
2|Pgd|Swarm of Scarabs
1|Sye|Summoned Skull
1|Pgd|Yomi Ship
1|Mfc|Royal Magical Library
1|Sdd|Sinister Serpent
1|Lob|Pot of Greed
1|Pgd|Des Lacooda
2|Ioc|Mad Dog of Darkness
1|Dcr|Gagagigo
1|Mfc|Magical Marionette
1|Lob|Swords of Revealing Light
2|Pgd|Kryuel
1|Ast|Blowback Dragon
1|Ske|Shadow Spell
1|Mfc|Double Spell
1|Ast|Draining Shield
1|Psv|Shift
1|Pgd|Barrel Behind The Door

What I'm wondering is...where can I improve this deck? I already plan to get rid of the two Terrorking Salmon for two blowback dragons. I also plan to get 2 more jars of greed (or is pot the 2 card one?) and replace the double spell and shift for them.

What else should I look for?

Pot of Greed (draw 2) is limit 1 per deck.

Jar of greed is the japanese name for it, and the american name for a trap that says "draw a card"

The good staples that werent one of the 10 banned cards. I dont remember what they were. If your playing with the banned card being restricted still, all 10 of them

Ceasefire is cool tech for your sideboard, flips all the face down monsters face up, no flip effects, then your opponent takes 500 per effect monster in play.

Jinzo to replace your summoned skull. 100 less power, and no one can use trap cards.

Could you link me to a place with easy to look through card references? I've played alot of yugioh, would love to help you at. (honestly, Im bored to tears and need something to do)

Confiscation is nice. Targeted discard from opponents hand, pay 1k life. Alternatively, there is a card that just shuffles it back into opponents deck and it has no LP cost.

Cyber Jar is really fun, especially if you play Wabaku(wabaku is a trap that does a fog effect for your opponents monsters)

Cyber jar kills everything in play, both players reveal top 5, put all legal monsters into play, put rest into hand)

Fiber Jar is massively broken if your opponents at 1900 or less. Everything in play, hand and discard pile is shuffled back into deck, both players draw 5. Used defensively, it halts the combat step. Used offensively, it can win the game.

Your using the guys that flip themselves back facedown and do effects. Messenger of peace and gravity bind are really nice with them. Messenger is a cont. magic that says "1500 attack power or higher cant attack" upkeep cost of 100lp a turn. Gravity bind is a trap that keeps level 4 or higher from attack, also cont.

Book of moon is an instant magic that flips a monster facedown. It combos well since you can use it to counter a single attack, re-use a flip monster(magician of faith ) and it can put jinzo face down during the attack step so you can use Wabaku. Combo with Nobleman of crossout. Mystical Space Typhoon limit 1 is messed up :-/

Ring of Destruction is amazing. Can win games you need to, and draw games you should have lost. (your both low, your opponent attacks for killing blow, ring it, and you both die ie. draw.)

Tribe-Infecting Virus is amazing with your sinister serp.

Other stuff can come later, the only real problem I see with your deck is that its confused as to what its goal is, use big 4 stars(luster dragon) or use small nifty guys to abuse people(des lacooda and company)

Look up the Giant Rat / Dream Clown combo. Its hilarious.

Blue eyes white dragon is terrible :-/

Fal, consider playing a few light/dark type monsters, so you can play the free 3000 attack power guy(to recruit him, RFG 1 light and 1 dark monster from discard pile)

Sadly, they banned the better one(pay 1k lp, kill everything in play, opponent takes 300 per card destroyed) the other one gets to remove a monster from the game, then he cant attack, or he gets to attack twice if you kill a monster by attacking.

You are incorrect. I have the Japanese versions of both. They don't have nipplage, they have cleavage. Luckily by the time Dark Magician Girl came out, the censors didn't hit her like they did with the poor little Elves.

And the cards ECP was suggesting are Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning (not banned) and Chaos Emporer Dragon - Envoy of the End (banned).

Both require you to remove one Light attribute monster, and one Dark monster from your graveyard from play to summon from your hand. Both have 3000ATK. Black Luster Soldier allows you to choose one of his effects on each of your turns. His first effect is to simply remove any monster card in play from the game. If you use that effect, he cannot attack that turn. His other effect is that if he attacks and destroys a monster, he can attack once again. Personally, I think he's the better of the two.

Chaos Emporer Dragon allows you to pay 1000 of your life points to destroy all cards on the field, and in each player's hand. For each card destroyed in this way, your opponent takes 300 damage to his life points.

Personally, I love both of those cards, and in my Traditional deck, I can usually get them out pretty easily, since I play with 6 Light monsters, and 6+ Dark monsters.

ECP's advice was largely sound, even if he did use MTG terms to describe everything.

You can grab another 2 Luster Dragons by picking up the Dragon's Roar Structure Deck ($9.99 at Target). This deck also comes with some staples like Snatch Steal, Heavy Storm, Call of the Haunted. You might also want to try and grab some trap cards such as Magical Cylinder, Negate Attack, Torrential Tribute.

You saw the power of Snatch Steal for yourself. Finding a Change of Heart, which lets you take control of one of your opponent's monsters for one turn. You can usually use it as a free tribute.

Heavy Storm destroys all Spell and Trap cards on the field. The implications should be obvious.

Call of the Haunted is a trap that revives a monster from your graveyard just like Premature Burial, but without the cost. Very useful to activate in your opponent's battle phase when you have no monsters on the field.

Magical Cylinder negates the attack from one of your opponent's monsters, and he takes damage equal to that monster's attack power.

Negate Atack ends your opponent's battle phase as soon as he attacks, making his attacks useless.

Torrential Tribute, you activate when a monster is summoned, and it destroys all monsters on the field.

Another nasty trap card is Drop Off. You can have up to three of these. You activate them in your opponent's Draw Step. They force your opponent to discard the card he just drew.

I've played YGO for alot longer than I've played Vs. Delid

Manticore, what the hell dude, go away.

Dens, Whats wrong with using MTG terminology to describe everything? Dens, VS. is an amazing card game.

Another card used in the hand denial thing that dens didnt mention is like... umm Time Seal? A trap that makes your opponent skip his next draw phase. They dont discard the card from deck, so they will get it next turn, but it doesnt have any incidental interactions with monster reborn effects or the like.

Sean, YGO tournaments are an odd bunch. You either have 30 year olds who are OCD about it, or insane 12 year olds, with the occasional 16-18 year old who used to be in the insane little kid catagory.

It seeks out the other Millenium items.

So it's actually the shitty Millenium item. But Bakura jacked Pegasus' eye.

I really don't know whats going on with Battle City, Marick, and the Millenium Staff, since I started working nights before Cartoon Networked picked up that storyline.

Really, if Yu-Gi-Oh removed all the card battling and substituted some other action-oriented event, such as polevaulting or synchronized swimming, it'd be a decent Anime :/

I've read a little of the manga. Where they didnt play cards, was really cool. Yugi put a vial of nitros in an icecube or something then played air hockey with it and blew a guy up because he kidnaps the girl that follows them around.

Because playing the card game makes you a fan of the anime. I can occasionally watch the show and be somewhat entertained, but it gets irritating very easily. I just love the assumption that we play gthe card game because we're huge fans of the anime or something. I just play the game because it looked interesting and it's what people around here play. If they played VS, I'd play that. Same with MTG.

I just love how choosing to play a certain card game that is fun makes for something to laugh at. Especially when the people doing the harassing play other CCGs.

Sean, I can understand what you mean -- some of the people in tournaments scare me too. That's why I play weith a select few people at school -- they're actually mentally stable. I'm just failing to understand how Yugioh is any better or worse as a card game than, say, Magic or VS. How playing Yugioh somehow makes you worse than players of the other. I'd love an explanation.

It also lets Bakura bring his cards to life. In one episode when he and Tristan are being chased through Pegasus's castle, Bakura summons a man-eater bug to go after the guards. Heh heh heh. He also used a Spell card to hold guards off in another place.

And apparently, it automatically returns to Bakura if it's ever taken away.

Because for BTG players, they can't understand why someone would play another game, since there's is widely considerd the best (not by me). VS players just want more people to play with, because they know the only followers of their game is really the comic book fanatics. I played Marvel and DC Overpower back in the day, because it was a fun game. VS is boring.

These days, many popular animes are being made into CCGs. The funny thing, is that some of them are actually very good, but CCG veterans (most of the market) won't touch them because of what they are based off of.

And I actually like the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.

It's like Disgaea: listening to people talk about it seriously is just freaking hilarious because it sounds like it's ridiculously overcomplicated and it's riddled with laughably engrish terminology.
