CN should pick up Full Metal Panic, and Full Metal Panic : Fumoffu.Dual would be great too. As would Vandread. All have both good comedy parts as well as good action parts.
Dual! was shown on TechTV's Anime Unleashed a while back, so I doubt CN will pick it up. Same with animes like Betterman, Geneshaft, Boogiepop Phantom, Last Exile, Crest of the Stars, Soultaker, Silent Mobius, and several others I cannot think of.

Jr. College Upstate. Communications major, minor in Women's Studies. But I assure you, Sir! The "Doctor" title was bestowed on me by a higher power than a mere College Professor.

Densetsu's a monk. He probably majored in Phys Ed. Or flower arrangement.
I thought Mortious majored in Flower Arrangement. Or was Tea Making his Major, and flower arrangement his minor? We need Jete's insight on this one.
Mortious majored in "Evil Corpse Molestation" with a minor in "Happy Flower Arranging". He's currently enrolled in getting a master's degree in "Evil Planetary Overlord".
Densetsu majored in "Beaten like a red-headed stepchild" with a minor in "Iksar Minding" whatever the hell that means. Densetsu is currently working on a second bachelor's degree. In hairstyling.
Anyone else you want to know about?

Densetsu spewed forth this undeniable truth:
After the butchering they gave Dragonball, FUNimation became the best anime dubbing company out there today. Nobody does better than they do now. And don't you dare say ADV, because ADV can suck my left nut. After the butchering they gave to the Slayers movie and OVAs, I could care less if I every see an anime dubbed by them again. I have seen other animes dubbed by them since, but that's largely irrelevent. Probably tied with FUNimation right now is The Ocean Group(Inuyasha, Gundam SEED, Escaflowne). All the others like ADV, U.S Manga Corps, are pretty mediocre.
Come to think of it, Tokyopop isn't doing too bad, either.
Well, most of the Slayers stuff is pretty old as far as US anime goes and was dubbed when there were very rare good dubs. So I'm not sure you can use those as evidence for the current market. Alaan fucked around with this message on 02-08-2005 at 06:45 PM.

Considering I've seen recent ADV dubs...yes. Yes I can.

Gotta agree. I had really low expectations for FMA, and it turned out great. Ocean Group's not that bad. Other than Kagome and InuYasha (who's more bearable than the former), they did a great job with that show. bloodfyr fucked around with this message on 02-08-2005 at 07:23 PM.

I was completely anti-FUNimation until they did Yu Yu Hakusho. They managed to dub Yu Yu better than it was originally done in Japan. Ever since, it seems the quality of their work outside of DB/Z/GT has skyrocketted.
Plus, someone mentioned Fruits Basket here earlier. FUNimation is supposed to be working on that right now.
Am I the only one who's seen/liked that show?

I think TechTV beat CN to that one as well.

I'm sure it will be back. Unlike in Japan, here in America, actors work in 'seasons.' See, in anime, there are actually no such things as a 'season' of a series. There may be different sagas, or different miniseries, or different series that link together, but no seasons. In Japan, they work until the project is finished, and then they get time off. Here, though, our new episodes come in bursts, because American dubbing companies work on an American schedule. FUNimation seems to be the one that sticks most closely to this, and they're doing Conan. AFAIK Detective Conan is still being made in Japan, so there are plenty of episodes to be brought over here, and I'm sure next season will see some more.
