...eh, kinda.
I like Teen Titans...I guess. I wish it'd be inside the Dini-verse though, or that they'd have lives outside of the team...or...
Hell, just make every Superhero cartoon like JLU
I've enjoyed reading the TT TRade Paperbacks much more than the Cartoon, outside lives being a big factor.

All of the animated series (The original JL cartoon, the original Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, Static Shock), all of those belong to the same continuity, written by Paul Dini.
The Diniverse exists as it's own continuity, seperate from regular DC comics stuff.
For instance, because of Batman Beyond...The diniverse Tim Drake is eventually captured by the Joker and turned psycho after he kills him, like in the BB movie
Seriously though it's probably gonna be awesome and I'm totally gay for Bale.

They toned it down in the latter parts of season one/early season two. They've struck a nice balance now with largely conventional animation and character design, but the occasional anime sweatdrop/chibify/random-falling-over.
I really, really like that show. And I missed Saturday's,

You missed one of the best episodes. The new season's storyarc is focusing on Raven and from Saturday's episode it looks to be very intense.

Yeah.. he's insane and doesn't hide it.. but he's not some grotesque monster on the outside.I'm talking about his physical looks, Deth, not his actions. In other words, the artwork for this show sucks huge donkey balls.
*scratches his head*
Joker's a snazzy dresser. But he's the color of a corpse with green hair and he's got that insane grin on his face. You can laugh it off for a second, but...he's like that all the time. The only guy who isn't scared of the Joker is Luthor, and that's because, frankly, I think Luthor didn't grasp how big of a monster Joker is.
Joker didn't just shoot Barbara Gordon through the spine. He took pictures of her in the nude while she lay there. Bleeding and broken. And then, when he had Commissioner Gordon locked down naked on a tram through a funhouse Joker had commandeered, he forced Gordon to look at the pictures That isn't the sort of thing you can just conceal.
Know why DC stopped referring to Joker as the "Clown Prince of Crime" in the early nineties? Because one of the writers looked back at some of the heinous stuff Joker had done and realized that no matter how charismatic, charming, impressive, or on the surface attractive the Joker is, he's a monster. He's a sick fuck and the joke is that what he does is not funny. He's murdered whole families over dinner, poisoned all the fish coming into Gotham with the Joker Venom, he plays with corpses and is an all around evil rabid maniac.
And for the record he DOES froth at the mouth at times, depending on who's drawing him.
Now Rasta Joker there IS lame (kinda reminds me of the Creeper, actually) but that's a style shift. Penguin isn't blonde, either. I just don't think you have a keen grasp on the sort of kook we're talking about.

Yeah the new film has Bat-Fans so giddy they're likely to touch themselves. I liked Bale for the role since I first saw it mentioned. Especially since having seen Equilibrium. The trailers I've seen have been excellent. They really are recapturing the essence of the "Batman Mode" of storytelling.
Frankly I hope it does insanely well and I hope they make a bunch more with Bale.

First Justice League > that crap
Plus the music is horrendous. Wtf.
And they did the cartoon adaptation of the "For the Man Who Has Everything" comic book story surprisingly well. That there was one of the greatest Superman stories ever told. But there was nothing in the JLU realm that added anything. It was Batman and Wonder Woman.

The Joker's flying this crop-duster plane during a blizzard and Batman is trying to bring him down. Hanging on to the plane for dear life, Batman makes a revelation: "You're insane." to which the Joker responds, "Did it really take you this long to figure that out?"

How.... Ja'Deth Issar Ka'bael.... uughhhhhh:
Problem with JLU was that it was a marketing ploy that used the worst era of the Justice League comic as fodder. Some of the stories were okay...the one with Booster Gold kinda directing traffic during the real crisis was amusing. And the one with Green Arrow vs Brimstone in China was good, if only because Ollie is one of those underrated characters in the DCU who I love seeing in action. And they did the cartoon adaptation of the "For the Man Who Has Everything" comic book story surprisingly well. You and Addy are crazy! JLU is so amazingly awesome in every way. In fan service, in accurate replication of plotlines, in voicing, etc..
Plus, it's about the closest we'll ever get to having a JSA Cartoon. I mean, seriously, they've shown Hourman, Dr. Fate, and even Sandman.
JLU rules.

Only if the year is 1985. There's a reason why the JLA in the comics was reined in from it's 30+ member lineup across JLEurope, JLInternational, and JLAmerica. It was too hard to get to know any of the characters, and frankly some of them were pretty stupid.
Voicing is largely a moot point if you only see certain characters regularly. Fan service? What? Showing members of the DCU briefly? Okay. They show up ONCE or TWICE in a SEASON and never speak. Or you end up with something like S.T.R.I.P.E. who never seems to have Stars with him.
I'd rather not see Hourman, Fate, Sandman, etc if they're not going to go into what makes them so cool. I'd rather have some meaning over the "some shmuck in a cape" situation.
At least with the JLA cartoon we had some characterization.

While I can somewhat understand what you're saying and agree with it, by and large I have to disagree. It's nice to see some of the other heroes be around for a change. One can suppose that they were allways there somewhere, just never right there when the JL was there. Now you see them, and they're doing what they're supposed to be doing. They don't have to go into great detail about who they are just to show them doing what they do. It makes the series feel more complete somewhat.
As long as they don't try to flesh out each and every one, and do a crappy job because of it, it's cool to just see some in the background.

As far as cartoons go I like the first 2 seasons of Justice League better than JLU, I loved how every single one was atleast a 2 parter so there was a bit more depth to it. Meh...
I have to admit, I do miss that part of it. Some stories work better as the 1 hour shows, but some are just better done as a 2 parter. They need more of the 2 part stories.
