I just finished a pickup group in Zul'Farrak. It was me (a warlock), a 49 warrior, a 49 priest, a 48 rogue, and a 46 shaman. Everyone played their class exellently and I finally beat the Divino-matic quest.Sorry, no funny stories of crappy groups here
The Divin-o-Matic quest is actually one of my favorites.
I love the horde of trolls at the bottom of the pyramid as they send waves up at you. It's like a movie sequence.

Plus with the 5 man group helping you out, it really feels like a huge melee. It is also cool how Bly's group is like a balance group too, almost feels like another player group. That orc warlock went down fast though, after he started doing Rain of Fire.
The rogue chick, or whatever she is, died on the way down fighting the bosses. The rest survived.
That quest is incredibly easy to get wiped on if even one person in your group sucks. Zair fucked around with this message on 02-03-2005 at 10:12 PM.
Keep in mind, this was before they fixed the shortcut and before they made raid groups. So we just cut across the place, and farmed the hell out of the event (no real challenge) so everyone could get the mask and the Big Bad Pauldrons.
I got a Diabolic Skiver out of it!
Another good event is summoning Hakkar in the Sunken Temple. Only decent part of that instance IMO.

No kidding, talk about anticlimatic. :\ Sunken Temple as a whole is just bleh, the colors they use are bland, atmosphere as a whole can just be described as "meh." Can use the background of the instance as an excuse I guess, but doesn't save it from being one of the worse instances. I mean, even Blackfathom Deeps was more interesting. That's saying something.

It wasn't interesting, but it was fun to explore. Like, FUN fun.. Even if the "puzzle" was overly boring. N, S, NE, NW, SE, SW.
But here's a real quick idea on how to make Sunken Temple more interesting.
ATTN: BLIZZARD.
NOT EVERY DUNGEON NEEDS TO HAVE GODDAMN TROLLS IN THEM.
But I think a big part of ST's suckitude is that the dragons and trolls both feel thrown in together. I don't know what the hell either of them are doing there.
Or that it takes the killing of level 50 elites to get that damn carrot on a stick from Zul'Ferrak.
Is it a particular smart level 50 elite?

Pure speculation though, what IS a priest good for in group PvP?

Nobody really understood why Blackened wrote:

Yes. A warlock can NEVER EVER EVER bring a summoned Doomguard/Infernal into PvP due to Purge/Banish/Dispel.
Currently, it doesn't even flag you to banish a flagged enslaved pet.
How fucked up is that?

I wish my first experience through Zul'Farrak was so lucky. It was me, a 49 Rogue, 51 Mage, and a 49 Warrior. We decided that since we didn't have a healer we would just get the scarab shells and see how far we could get before we couldn't go any further. The Mage (although overnuking every once in a while) was pretty decent, the Warrior was freshly Def specced and he was able to hold aggro from 2 mobs pretty well, and my pet would hold aggro from any adds off the Warrior while I would shoot and apply Heavy Mageweave when needed. The Rogue on the other hand would go AFK every 2 minutes, usually right in the middle of a battle. We only wiped twice, and both times because the Rogue had aggroed more than we could handle, then went AFK. I eventually gave up with the excuse that it was getting late, and logged. It wasn't good times at all.
Lucky us 3 of us could rez(priest 2 paladins mage and warlock)
We ended up wiping, or nearly wiping, ever time till we got out of the first lil canyon and the group said to screw it, we're coming back in 5 levels.
Pretty fun, all things concidered.
