But some of this server-side lag, even on servers with smaller populations, is fucking ridiculous,
quote:
Naimah had this to say about the Spice Girls:
I played from 8am to 7pm last night and I didn't get dropped or have any considerable lag once.
It all depends on what server you picked. Some servers had queue's of over 1000 people in line last night, and others had no waiting at all. Thankfully my server was the latter.
Thankfully, my guild picked Elune and we don't have wait times on that one.
Now where was I going with this...
I hope they fix it soon. Because I'm hopelessly addicted

Agreed. Is 8-10 hours a day for two weeks straight a sign of debilitating illness?

600,000 units sold as of Jan 10th
So even if Lineage 2 got 1.5 million players in six months, that's still only 250,000 a month, which is still slower than WoW has grown so far.
No connectivity issues on Feathermoon, but I think that their population grows everytime the PvP servers are down. Usually it's a ton of jackasses too.
If you don't want to RP, don't come to a RP server. How easy is that?

Yeah, people don't seem to understand that.
I wonder what the percentage of all the servers the problem ones are.

accomodations for that kind of expansion are going to suffer some growing pains. There's really nothing that can be done to prevent it.
Had they known what they were doing, there wouldn't be "growing pains" as you so graciously put it. Care to make yourself look even more apologetic?
My overall dissatisfaction stems less from server issues and more from the fact that there is almost no incentive to group except for a few quests and the instanced zones. Solo'ing all the time on my priest because i can't get a group is getting very very old. Dr. Gee fucked around with this message on 01-18-2005 at 07:47 PM.
And on Elune, I haven't had problems beyond the AH/IF lag. Since I try to keep my AH'ing down to once a night, it doesn't even affect me all that much. Still no problems with queues. Maybe it's just the times that I'm logging in or something. I dunno.
I hope they get it sorted out, though.

Maradon! had this to say about John Romero:

Unfortunantly, you just can't guess that. For all you know, it could've been 500k accounts the first month(And knowing Korea, I wouldn't put it past them,) and slowly rose to 1.5M over the course of the next 5. Skaw fucked around with this message on 01-19-2005 at 05:28 AM.

Uuuhhh. MMORPGS usually don't have precisely linear growth.

I doubt it. I'm finding this all funny that Mara is always rolling his eyes or trying to insult SOE (EQ or EQ2) fanbois for being fanbois, but is a bigger WoW fanboy than most of them.

Just tired of the fanboys. WoW has proven itself to be a great game, but it's not perfect. Yet it goes something like:
"You know, I do wish the trees were a little taller in WoW."
"THOSE TREES SOLD 600K UNITS."
"Well go play in the EQ2 trees with all the NPCs because it has no players zing"
"EQ1 didn't even have trees! SoE doesn't even know what a tree is!"
I usually get about 1 buggy mine spot a day. That is very annoying, as I find I can't mine again until I logout and in again.
quote:
A sleep deprived Mr. Parcelan stammered:
If you can log onto EQ2 and play anytime, why don't you?Between you and the other five people playing, you'll have a good group!
Doesn't EQ2 have something in the order of 300,000 accounts? That's not exactly BAD.

Unfortunately, my miner has yet to find any Bronze yet. I can mine up to silver, just hard to find any deposits in areas an 18th season rogue can get to without getting squished.

There is no such thing as Bronze veins...Bronze is a compound metal. You have to mine Tin veins and combine one tin bar with one copper bar to make 2 bronze bars. Katrinity fucked around with this message on 01-19-2005 at 03:10 PM.
