The only good thing about my father was his Ford Falcon (couldn't tell you what year it is). Baby blue with a convertible top. My best memory was the night we saw Star Wars (the original, on opening night) at the drive-in theater in this car with the top down. I've heard he still owns and drives that car.

I'd like an RX-8, too. I'm just not sure if they guzzle oil like their predecessors did.

I actually looked into buying a TVR seriously. . .but they aren't made to US specs, and there's no legal way to import them.

Surprisingly affordable, for 200mph sportscars.

You can't even import them as a museum piece or a race car?

RX-8 this, RX-8 that. Sure, it's a pretty car but how much do you actually know about it?

For 25k+, there's better cars out there. The biggest thing about the RX-8 is that it's a Rotary engine. Good performance and gas mileage, but not exactly easy to fix. If that thing has problems down the line, you might as well replace the entire engine/car.

Anyone know if they're going to do anything with the VW warthog clone?

Concept T!

I'm gonna get to see one in person in January. I'll find out as much as I can then, because I want one.

There are better preforming cars out there, sure, but you add up a 9000 RPM redline, 6-speed with short throw linkage, a nice, solid, linear powerband, excellent weight distribution, and you've got a well balanced sportscar. And from a purely asthetic standpoint, the thing looks damn sharp. The rotary engine may be why people want the car in the first place, but the fact that it's not ass-fugly certainly helps.

It couldn't be licensed or insured, though.

Might be able to do it as a race car, but that wouldn't do me much good.

Friend of mine has a '04 STI with exaust and a Cobb access port. He's also done front and rear swaybars, in addition to some other suspension stuff. Everytime I drive that car, I grin for days afterward. It's a phenominal piece of machinery. The difference between my WRX and it is quite a gap. Don't get me wrong though, I love my little baby two liter. Saves on the insurance too.

I drove one and it was pretty nice. It handled well and the interior was extremely nice but I wasn't as impressed by the powerband as I thought I would be. The redline is nice, but it just doesn't have any kick. I guess I'm just a torque guy. They are downright gorgeous though.

You need to check your oil and add oil (although not much) every 1,000 miles or so. It's not really a flaw it's the way the engine is designed. it is impossible to create an oil seal when the entire friction surface is inside the combustion chamber.

Yes... But I love the 92 I have now, of course.

I also think VW Bugs are really cute. I prefer the newer-ish model, though. What is with me and tiny cars?
