Ja'Deth Issar Ka'bael wrote this stupid crap:
As for the cave thing, he went into the rubble at the end of the original DKR and was setting up shop down there again. Least that's the impression I always had.

I always got the impression that he went into the chambers far, far beyond the Batcave. The cave was supposedly miles upon miles of caverns and twisted tunnels.

"Years, to train and study and plan. Here in the endless cave, far past the burnt remains of a crimefighter who's time had passed."

That part always gave me the impression they were far from the Batcave and Wayne Manor.

I dunno, it was nothing major. Just something that threw me off.

Ja'Deth Issar Ka'bael had this to say about Captain Planet:
Why did Supes ditch Lois (they allude to her being "fragile" but still).

"Never with Terrans. They're too fragile."

I giggled.

Especially when Superman's orgasm caused an earthquake and tidal wave.

Which reminded me of the greatest superhero joke in history!

Superman was flying around looking for trouble, when he spies Wonder Woman lying naked on her back with her legs spread out in the forest.

"Aha!" Superman says to himself. "With my super speed, I can fly down there, fuck her good, and be gone before she even notices!"

So he does. He dashes down, fucks her quick, and flies off in the blink of an eye. Suddenly, Wonder Woman's eyes pop open and she goes, "Hey, did you hear something?"

And the Invisible Man says, "No, but my ass sure is sore."

Game of Thrones gets really really boring.

Maggie Furey is a good fantasy author. Shadowleague books are great.

Is "Game of Thrones" the same series as "Song of Ice(Wind?) and Fire"?

If yes, it's getting really boring really fast.

Game of Thrones is the first book in "Song of Ice and Fire"

Anywho, its a good series. Currently, myself, I'm reading the fifth book in the Crown of Stars series. Fairly gritty series.

Aha! I knew it!

I've read two-thirds of that book before boredom took over my brain caused me to see things that were not there. Like an interesting story or characters or novel ideas. Unfortunately I realised that I was hallucinating and stopped reading.

Alas, quite a few friends of mine wanted to crucify me for my blasphemy of not liking that book/series.

I had to kill them all.

With a spoon.

And a foot long subway sandwich.

...

Whoops, was hallucinating again.

Speaking of graphic novels, there are several collections of the Cerebus comics out.

It might take a specific taste, and I've never read later issues, but the early ones are pretty funny.

Melanie rawn is good.

So is Robert Heinlien, tho he doesn't do a ton of high fantasy.

But Melanie Rawn is good.

Yes. Melanie Rawn is good, fantastic, AWESOME!!!!
Dragon Prince Trilogy
Dragon Star Trilogy = Masterpieces

Most of your suggestions are right on, except about A Game of Thrones. I didnt find it boring at all, it just doesnt have ghey dragons and wizards and elves popping up everywhere and casting spells. There is in fact a ton of blood, gore asnd grittiness.
Well, I liked it.

For a funny seires Piers Anthony's Xanth Novels is a good pick. But Terry Pratchett is just as good.

Intergral Trees is really good too, try to pick up Ringworld. Its the prequel.

i would suggest, Wheel of Time, but that one has a biot too much plot for you, and I think thats the one that everyones complaining about as nothing really has happened for a while.

For you, (for the next time you go to B + N) your taste would be more to The Darksword Trilogy, Rose of the Prophet Trilogy, or the Deathgate cycle. All authored by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. (who did the Dragonlance books you read) and a good job was done with them.

I love Melanie Rawn as well, but damn it if she doesn't have to slay every secondary and most of the main characters of her series.

Very few character you come to love or respect see long lives.

yeah, I know what you mean....I still feel sorry for Pandsala though ,I always thought she was a cool character. Even if she DID kill off a lot of people.

The Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson

Starts with Gardens of the Moon.

First book a bit confusing as it dumps you straight into it but you'll get the hang of it.

Best series of fantasy novels I've read after that.

If they have it, get a copy of Legends, a Compilation of many popular authors, Nice selction of diffrent types of stories, most pulled from the same setting as thier bigger books. The Copy I have is Big Fucker combineing all three of the orginals, and they have a newer One out call Legends II

Also try Peter David's Sir Apropos of Nothing, It's a paradoy of many diffrent styles, but it's not silly per say.

"The Brothers' War" by Jeff Grubb, does not matter if you have even heard of Magic the Gathering before, excellent novel. No need to know anything about the setting, it works as a free-standing novel.

I give a third to The Black Company series. Be advised though if you pick some up. The first 3 can stand by themselves fine. If you read book 4 though, you have to read all 9 really. They are worth reading though. Excellent characters and generally a good change of pace.
