Actually, before the newer movies came out, probably first thing I thought of would of been Luke or Leia.

Now though, it's kind of hard not jumping right to Jedi, with all the focus on them.

I never saw Luke as the super Jedi hero. Even when I was young I thought of Han Solo as the real hero of the movies. He did everything through skill, and sharp wit, and without the use of the Force. I found that admirable.

TIEs and Star Destroyers.

I'm a big fan of the X-Wing series. And I like imperial ships a lot more.

While I like the imperial ships, I always wondered why they never put shield generators on their standard tie fighters.

Budgets definately shouldn't be a concern if they can afford to build two death stars.

Plus shields would help them last so much longer in battles.

TIEs are old-standard ships. They were never built for long range or small numbers, like X-Wings. They have no hyperdrive, and a self-sustaining engine. Basically, normal TIEs had to be rebuilt to allow space for a shield generator or a hyperdrive, and it was easier to just design new models.

So enter Gunboats, Tie Advancedes, Tie Defenders, and Missile Boats, all of which had those.

(I'm such a nerd)

EDIT: Should also notice that the Rebellion primarily fought with X-Wings and stuff like Z-95s, X-Wings didn't come in until the middle of the war.

A tie between Vader and Obi-Wan. With a little Han Solo mixed in for spiciness.

Yes! Han Solo is the batman of the Starwars Universe.
