We're acting like morons, sure, but by next week everyone will be bored with it and have moved on. We haven't really disrupted their flow or boards (despite rumors of the dreaded Troll Hack), and in a week, this will all be a bad dream to them.
It'll happen to us someday, and we'll be pissed about it by then. But for the moment, let's celebrate and blow off a little steam.

It turns out they're pretty much used to this sort of thing. There are two classes of "vampires": those claiming it's a legitimate medical disorder, who are mostly rational and think of it as a disability, and "me-too" goths pretending to be psionic vampires (soduce u!) and draconic furries that call themselves "otherkin" who are all fairly self absorbed, delusional, angsty and stupid.
We talked about how parts of the invasion actually were pretty funny. ACD even said it was a nice change of pace from the usual goth moaners and wannabes. I explained to them that I still thought thier affliction was entirely psychosomatic, and they said they thought it might be too, but there was nothing they could do about it either way.

I don't see how telling people to go see a doctor if they feel they're a vampire is harmful advice. Besides that, you're quick to jump to the defense of the trolls there, Sage. I don't hear stories of you going to nightclubs where there are many many more people like this, only at much worse levels, and making fun of them. Internet anonymity is nice, isn't it?

I counted eleven people, and think I counted a few twice. There are currently 6414 accounts on EverCrest. If we assume half of those are inactive/banned/alts/whatever, it leaves us with 3207 active accounts who visit semi regularly at least to lurk. That comes out to 0.3429996881821017 percent of EC.

If you're going to whine that the world isn't Smurfy enough for you, at least have the grace not to make shit up.
If you think they're handing out good advice to kids, it simply means you haven't read much of the site. Hell, even the "see a doctor" thread all but coaches them on how to get the diagnosis for which they're trolling.
