Life is Beautiful
- Both the ending and the moral are tear-jerkers. I have to make sure I only watch this one in the Spring/Summer and when I'm not PMSing.

Gladiator
- Best action movie ever. Of course, this is my opinion and don't you mess with it.

To Kill A Mockingbird
- Dunno why. Everytime it came on TV after a late date, I couldn't help watching it until 3 or 4 in the morning. Thank goodness I have this on DVD.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
- Delightful story, wonderful acting, and it's a different story for adults vs. kids. I don't know any movies that can appeal to more than one group of people.

Monsters, Inc.
- Wait, this is one. I adored Boo. I wish I could have been her growing up.

One of my favorite movies of all times is of course

Blues Brothers
~Action, humor, great music and two of the coolest characters ever.
Their style of moving a car into a parking lot is a fucking classic.

I love that movie.

Tombstone.

"Doc, you ought to be in bed. Why are you out here?"
"Wyatt Earp is my friend."
"Hell, I got lots of friends."
"I don't."

Incredible movie.

It's not something people hear about.

I have lots.. A Nightmare before Christmas, RHPC, Ever After (sure, it was lame, but I LOVE the costumes and the entire history of that period), LOTR, Hackers.

I love cult films. ;.;

Non-cult,

The Green Mile, Ghost, Frig, I can't think. :/

Oh yeah oh yeah, I remember a great scene from Road to Perdition. I'll try to keep this one succint and spoiler free

The protaganist is in a position where he must (or at least feels he must) kill someone in the mafia who was once close to him.

This individual and his entourage walk onto an empty street as rain pours down. There is absolutely no sound except for the background music: a soft, haunting piano solo.
Suddenly, the guards begin to fall. At the end of the street, we can see rapid flashes of light; gunfire. The guards continue to fall, like part of some macabre dance.

When everyone but the individual are dead, the protaganist walks into the light and confronts his victim. They have a short, private conversation, and the protaganist finally guns him down. But this time there's no music. We hear the gunfire. And it is the harshest, ugliest sound you can possibly imagine.

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Star Wars: A New Hope.
There was so much in the first movie that has imprinted itself into my interests that I can't resist calling it my favorite. I was young when I watched it, and its adventure theme has always stuck with me.
My favorite scene was simply Luke looking at the sky. Or Vader force-gripping... because that's feckin' cool.
I never liked the droids. The droids gave me more appreciation for the grace of human beings, really.

Vampire Hunter D: The Original.
Similar idea, the movie catered to an image I had and I liked it. My favorite scene was D's battle with the Mutant who bends space and time.

The Never Ending Story:
LIke Star Wars, it imprinted on me. Favorite scene: Atreyu fears the Golden statues... yet he outruns them. Plus the music rocks.

The Thirteenth Warrior:
I can watch this movie on repeat. I loved the book. Favorite scene was the battle with the Fire Wyrm. "It's a man... It's a man!" *slice, slice slice.*

Vanilla Sky:
Yes, I too loved this movie. The main character's nightmare is the same kind of nightmare I'd fear in my own life.
Favorite scene? The girl walks into the memorial...

(Most recent favorite is Sinbad. I feel it was simply very well put together.)

That's all I'll list. I just love movies...

My Dad was in Blue's Brothers as an extra. He was one of the Cops. He was a Cop in Harvey, Illinois at the time when they were filming it and he was working security on the set and they used the Cops there for security as extras. He ate lunch with Belushi everyday.

And I've still never actually saw that movie.

Anyway, just remember 'Blues Brothers' (the first one, not '2000') the next time you're renting movies. The way I judge your sense of humor, you won't regret it.
