*TWANG*
The arrow flew through the air at an amazing speed, it's tip sparkling with flaming energy. The arrow, perfectly aimed, was flying straight for Dugall's back.
"If ice doesn't work, maybe fire will..." Taavi muttered.
"Greetings, I am Constellation Celestius, of the Keepers of the Art. I assume you are here for the teir'dal?"
Out of the corner of his eye, he sees an arrow flit towards the now bound dark elf... [ 05-17-2002: Message edited by: Star Collective ]

Um, excuse me, but no he did not grab Taavi by the arm...cause he wasn't even there yet...
"Geez you guys, calm down!" Taavi's hands glowed blue, and the dark-elf's wounds were completely healed.
"He's my prize anyway! I got to him first, he belongs to me, and Faydark's Champions. And before you go ordering me around, I'll just point out that I outrank YOU!" Taavi pulled a small map from his hip.
"If you want the location of their camp then here, it's on this map. We, that being Faydark's Champions, have known about the location of the camp for a couple of months now." He walked up to the group, Rain followed closely.
"He'll be fine, just make sure he's securely tied up."

long post inc lol
Constellation arched a single elegant eyebrow.
"One hopes that since the Faydark's Champions guild has known the position of this particular camp for some time, they have employed the manpower necessary to keep a watch on it? Also, would you care to explain why your guild has seen fit not to disclose this location to the other guilds? Would you also care to explain why you saw fit to shoot an unarmed foe that surrendered voluntarily? And since you've seen fit to bring up the subject of rank, I outrank YOU! You and your guild have a great deal to answer for, Ranger Taavi. Perhaps that is why you shot the teir'dal, for fear he would reveal something you don't want us to hear. Regardless, all will be made clear when this dark elf is taken before the Court."
He looks to the patrol leader
"It is still procedure to give all people under the boughs of our forest a fair hearing before His Majesty is it not?" [ 05-19-2002: Message edited by: Star Collective ]

Taavi, out of natural instinct, hit the dirt as soon as he heard the sound of the crossbow firing. His quick inventory of the High-Elves listed zero crossbows, which meant this one was hostile. Rain dived into the bushes, not to hide but to circle around and try and find the attackers. Taavi looked up just in time to see the arrow go through a high-elf and into Dugall.
~I want a quiver of those arrows...~ Taavi thought as he clambered to his feet, bow already loaded and taut.
Dugall lied there on the ground, a large arrow sticking out of his back. He pondered his luck, two arows in the back in one day. He quickly assesed how far it had gone, Not very. It hit a rib, probably cracked it as well.
"Owww" He moaned before he went unconcious again...

ACK!! Didn't realize it was my turn!! So sorry!!
Taavi and Rain both growled, they exchanged a glance then Taavi moved over to Dugall.
"Must be your turn to be target practice today." The elf muttered, yanking the arrowhead out and wrapping a bandage around the wound.
"Wasn't deep, not much a healing spell would do on this wound. He'll be fine." Taavi said to the high-elves. Just as he had finished there was a slight rustle in the nearby bushes. Rain turned in that direction then padded over to Taavi.
The bushes parted, and a group of wood-elves stepped into the clearing. A total of five, two archers on either side of a male elf who appeared to be unarmed. The archers had blades at their hips, but their bows were loaded and taut. The male elf in the center took a step forward and turned to the high-elves.
"I am Dill Fireshine. It pleases me to see our cousins working with us in this matter. I am told Taavi has lightly briefed you on the matter of the Teir'dal in our woods. Do you have any questions before we move the captive to a safer location?"
As the wood elves dragged him into their camp Dugall wondered if all the tales he had been taught all his life were really true. Like dancing naked through trees, actually Watching! a sunrise and enjoying it, and the horrible torture methods they used. He considered if they surfacers were really everything he was told they were, if they were the weak, idiotic, moronic, nieve wastes of air they were always said to be. They were always told of containing weaknesses that were easily exploited, like compassion, pity, and most easily exploited, love...Love was a foreign concept to Dugall. Of all the 'weaknesses' the surfacers possessed, Dugall could never understand that one. To enjoy and like something to such an extent that one would give their lives, their possessions, and everything that they could give. Just for the happiness and well-being of the person they "loved". Dugall could NEVER see anyone giving their lives for another.
Hoping for the best he picked up his head and looked at the few wood elves around the camp...
