Now that our brains are fried, get a graphic calculator. Plug those identities in for future reference. Then proceed to setup programs to do stuff like the Laws of Sines and Cosines, etc for you.

My brother did that, and he did something similar for Calc..Then when he took physics and didn't actually know how to the work by hand he failed miserably.

Repetition does eventually burn the stuff in to your head, and it starts to become much easier to do.

The equations are definantly hard to remember the first year you do it. However, the third semester you have it they just seem to spew forth uncontrollably.
