I sipped just like everybody else when I was like...3. I can't say I've ever really been drunk (at least to the best of my knowledge) but I guess 12 or so. It's all kind of a blur now. Around the same time I tried smoking.

Other than the parental sips and such, I had my first actual drink at a cousin's wedding when I was 10. I saw a relative go up to the bar and order a beer, and bugged and bugged and bugged 'til I got one too. I kinda liked the taste, and still do.

First time drunk was when I was 13 or 14, christ, I can't remember, end of school year party that resulted in a whole lot of vodka and orange juice being consumed.

The sips are pretty much a note which need not be mentioned, so i'd have to say, if memory serves me correctly, the first time I ever had a significant drink was an Olympia beer, 4th of july, when I was 12 years old.

Of course, I had heard most of the anti-beer/alchohol propaganda and even believed a good part of it. However, I decided to go out on a lark and try it, and once that first drop of blessed beer touched my lips, it's been a slippery slope.

Now, lots of people say they find beer absolutely disgusting and lots of people who do drink still dislike the taste of beer. That's a feeling I simply can't understand as I *LOVE* the taste of a cold beer. For me, a hamms will taste just as good as a classy root beer or a nice soft drink.

My little beer-o-phileness has actually led me to look into home microbrewing. Now, with the help of 2 Mr. Beers i'm actually brewing my own blessed water. The flavor of this beer is amazing! Absolutely terrific, especially when I experimented with a few fruit beer recipes from belgium..

Agreed. For me, it was tasting the communion wine before it was blessed and turned into Blood. I was a baaad alter boy =p

But yeah, Beer is gross, I much prefer mixed drinks or harder liquor.

Beer is an acquired taste. Everyone likes it, you just have to find your beer of choice, even if it means making your own.

According to my mother, I was like two or three or something like that, I learned to walk when I was drunk apparently.

I don't remember.

Hmm... Well, little sips from parents don't count.

My first actual one was... Last year or the year before. I can't remember. It was Thanksgiving dinner, and my grandparents had brought over some wine a relative of mine had made. I decided, what the hell, I may as well give alcohol a try.

Either the wine was almost entirely alcohol, or I have a horribly low tolerance. A few sips and I could feel it going to my head, so I stopped there. It was good wine, though... Damn shame I couldn't drink more than those few sips.

I absolutely hate the taste of beer, but wine is good so long as there's not too much alcohol.

Ruvyen - The most potent a wine can be is a 37 proof, or 19%, and than it's almost guaranteed to taste horrible (Example in point - Sake). I'd have to say that your buzz was either genuinely self induced or that you have an extremely low alchohol tolerance.
