Granted, I'm still trying to wade thru his latest book Why can't he just start to make things happen and end the blasted series in a somewhat timely manner!

She could take longer than that, theoretically, as there are three books still remaining to be translated to film. I doubt she will, of course, but she could.

Although Goblet is going to be really something to figure out a screenplay for. The book is huge, and there is quite a lot that needs to get into the movie, because it pertains to the main plot. You just don't realize it when you first read it, that that little odd-man-out scene at the beginning was part of the key to it all. So I'm eager to see how they translate it, and how they skim out what's not necessary, which isn't a whole heck of a lot.

That could theoretically be cut out to save time, but I'm sure if I read through it again, I'd find inconspicuous little things like that scene that would absolutely have to be put in, because they help tie up the resolution.

Her books are very complete, and very intertwined. They're very solid, and I would not want to be the one who has to translate that book into a screenplay.

One I can think of is how the house elf was holding a seat at the Quidditch tourney at the beginning, and they thought it was for Crouch Sr, but it turned out Crouch Jr was sitting there. Oh yeah, I remember that. I didn't think of that when you referred to it as odd-man-out.

I need to reread the series, anyway - and get my own copies. I was very impressed with the change in style between book two and book three. It was like the series was getting ready to grow up, and then in book four it really started.

It really fit how the characters started growing up.

At the end of OOTP I was really hoping to see how many OWLs they all got, I was disappointed when she didn't say.

I hope that Harry gets out of the angsty rut he was in most of OoTP - I mean, yeah it's understandable and all, but he's no fun like that.

I still need to go and watch the first two HP movies.

And I really hope this is the end of Cho. I never liked Cho, and Harry shouldn't have sloppy seconds. I always thought he should get together with Ginny.

When I first read SS, I thought Ginny was like... significantly younger or something. I knew she was only a year younger, but I always pictured her as really young or something. So it just doesn't seem right to have Harry and Ginny get together to me, because I keep picturing Harry in his sixth year with a second year or something. I can't get the idea that Ginny is really young out of my head.

None of my friends really liked Cho, either. I thought she was ok, but the second she got with Cedric I was like "Ok, she's out of the picture now. Carry on, Harry."

Who do you think will be the Heads? Or the prefects for the next year? What do you think'll happen with Percy?

Probably Ron and Hermione again for prefects. I don't think Dumbledore will make Harry one, especially with all that's happened. And I don't think they have Head Boy and Girl till 7th year, do they?

Oh, I think Percy will have to eat some serious crow, because they've all seen now that Dumbledore and Harry were right.

I took what Dumbledore said to Harry as a hint that he would be prefect the next year. Yeah, they don't chose the Heads until 7th, but that's not that far away anymore.

I hope that Percy lightens up a bit and stops being like... well... Percy. He will lose a lot of face though (well, he already has).
