Is it kinda like Tribes?

Looks like a cross between Tribes and CnC: Renegades to me.

My Lightning light tank was being damaged just by driving over rough ground, and going up and down small hills. There wasn't anyone else around for miles, literally. I just exploded for no reason after a minute or so.

Reasons for hating Cyssor stated above, extrapolated here: Gunuku is not that god damned important.

Important?

Isn't that a bit like playing multi-flag CTF and saying "the flag behind the base isn't as important as the others."

And what I mean by the 'do no wrong' comment was, from what I've seen, if anyone so much as says anything negative about Planetside, Led is all over em, just an observation =\

Maybe because they are wrong? That just might be it.

And Delphi, NOTHING is important right now. Big fights are just more fun for me

Ah.

I apologize for earlier then. I find a small skirmish in the boonies to be more appealing. Sorry.

Gonna run around on Cyssor tonight and see what the fuss is about.

It is akin to Tribes as Meridian59 is to EverQuest.

By the way

I have a GeForce 4 Ti4600.

I run the game at 1024x768 with all options turned on.

Apart from some graphical slowness when I first spawn in and zone, as well as some slowdowns the first time I move from indoors to outdoors...

I get smooth framerates even in the big battles.

I personally think that it's the ATI cards that make the game run crappy.

I run everything at the max resolution and everything turned on.. that's what gives me the video lag.

However, I started running the exe directly instead of using the launcher and now I have no framerate issues at all.

When I started the beta I tried running it at 1280x1024 (Which is what I run most of my games in now that my monitor can handle it).

But back then I crashed every 20 minutes. I lowered the resolution to try and fix it, but that didn't fix it. Since then, I've been too lazy to change it. It runs well for me... no framerate issues, and looks pretty enough, I'm happy as it is

OK so the NDA was lifted. Is that because the open beta is coming? Or what?

They lift the NDA when they go into open beta, for the basic reason that they're trying to build up a following for the game. It's rather hard to develop a fan-base when no one can legally talk about the stuff going on in-game.

Quick, call some mail company in one of those countries and get yourself one of those "fake" addresses they offer that just forwards it to your real address!
