The first is a specific show : 'America's dumbest criminals' where you see morons try to break the law in the stupidest possible way, hear of idiots in trials trying to justify the dumbest shit ("I swear, your honor, I tripped and accidentally hit her in the head with a shovel! Sixteen times!"). It goes to show that the average criminal has an IQ roughly the same as the average rock
The other type of show are those 'America's Funniest home Videos' shows. These shows kinda suck, until you get that one video of the idiot playing with the tetherball, who hits it so hard it swings around and nails him in the nuts.
Liquidsub is the best from both worlds; a moron who breaks the law, tries to go back and justify it with stupid shit (Then later tries to dumb it down by making it out to be less than it is), then gets smacked in the nuts for it
I vote we keep him! He's the funniest thing I've seen all week! It's like having your own personal monkey who's been trained to act ridiculously stupid ^_^ [ 03-25-2003: Message edited by: Khyron ]

2-1 odds on that.
4-1 odds on him posting "It wasn't me, it was my brother/sister/hot imaginary girlfriend!!".
The last game I pirated was Max Payne.
Nowadays I go to Comp USA, chat with the guys there about 'new_game_xxx', then play it on a PC there. If I like it, I go to Software Etc, chat with the guys about the game, and buy it.
I started really doing this when I was reading on Croteam's boards about piracy affecting Serious Sam. Those who know me know that I am totally in awe of Croteam's abilities as programmers (I absolutely love the Serious Engine ) and LOVE playing the Serious Sam games. They were stating how piracy is the exact opposite of liking a game. See, if you like a game, you want a sequel. If you want a sequel, you pay the developers to make a new one by buying the first. You don't buy the first, you don't support the game you like. And in the end you're screwing the people that made that game that you liked. Congrats! I've never pirated a game since. (Leaked alphas... yes. I have to admit that I am pretty damn curious, and have tried out a couple leaked alphas. Well, one. The Doom 3 Alpha And I definitely plan to buy that game when it IS released.)
I see Liquidsub here :
"It's alright to download games and software."
"Why? Isn't that the same as stealing bread from a supermarket?"
"No, because when I download software, I don't get caught."
I can promise you one thing : If Liquidsub felt that he could get caught and actually have to (*GASP*) face the consequences of theft, then he'd be singing a COMPLETELY different tune. Isn't it funny how people do things only when they think they can get away with it? [ 03-25-2003: Message edited by: Khyron ]

Fazum'Zen Fastfist had this to say about Captain Planet:
Doom 3's gonna rule, but I have a feeling it's going to be geared more towards "single, super hard monsters" rather than "lots of push over monsters" like the first ones
I demand more of the classic doom feeling.
However, in the alpha, there was that part where you fight the two imps, which are pretty much the hardest bad guy at that point, so maybe there will be a lot of jumping around

Smacktard is the generic term used in BF1942 and the Desert Combat mod when referencing idiots, morons, team-killers, jackasses, fucktards, dimwits, shitstorms, etc. It's used because it's not vulgar.
And I happen to have a Spiritmaster named Smacktard, so don't gimme any drama, bish!
I contribute nothing to this thread.

This is the exact reason you get flamed bro. I USED say the exact same thing. But I'd rather pay for the game and have all the stuff that comes with them (Manuals, Maps, registration to get Tech Support), and Even CDS (now coming with dvd extras, and the artwork).
I haven't bothered to read the whole thread to see if this was already posted, but...
No warez. No serials. No cracks/cracking programs. Anything that can be used in software piracy or other illegal software activities will result in a ban. Same goes for abusing programs like mailbombers, forum and usenet flooders, and email harvesting bots. This goes for actual links to offending material, bragging about offending material, and offering offending services. This does not apply to emulators such as UOX, EQEmu, and DAOCoffline as such pieces of software do not violate Copyright Law. This also doesn't apply to MP3s (except in extenuating cases), but only because I said so.
