No dragons - And also no vampires, no werewolfs, and no other non-playable race or class. Exceptions to this may be granted on an individual basis with prior approval of Innoruuk.
So, no gnolls? >_<
No supernatural ties - Your character does not have a close, personal relationship with any Gods or with any royalty. He/She's also not related to them either. Exceptions may be granted on an individual basis by Innoruuk.
So, no clerics, priests, paladins, etc?

Not unless everyone agrees with it.

You don't need to have a "close personal relationship" with a diety to be a cleric, priest, or paladin for them.

A more argumentative person would debate that, but me, being non-argumentative, I accept it.
You could serve a god and not know them well.
It's cool if that won't work here, but I'd really rather not pull out something so heavily ingrained into the character.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Jan and Deth have dragon ancestry that was all tied into the D&D game they were played in. Hell, it's in their last name, Dragon Guardian

Nobody likes pulling out.

No yiff in the threads, I promise.
Now the no close personal ties to a diety basically means you just can't be the child (whether mortal or immortal) of said diety or an avatar of them either, yes?
Also, on the no non-playable races: Is it possible still play if the fantastical side of the creature (such as a dragon) is downplayed by lessening the power (said dragon spends their 'public appearances' in say a high elf form)? In this case, the dragon in high elf form (there really is such a thing in EQ) -is- slightly stronger than your typical high elf, but their overall powers are limited by the form they take.
Azymyth's been a character I've been tweaking since before I came to EC and has finally become a way I like him, mostly. He's a half elf (half human half elf) with dragon blood running through his veins. His draconic nature is very rarely brought into play though -usually in the form of wings on his back and the presence of fangs and 'claws'. The wings are kept retracted into no existance, the fangs are always present and the claws are more just long tough nails (like you see all those bishy guys in anime having). Other than that, he's just like any other half elf; he doesn't spend time with dragons or anything, just travels around playing the part of a bard.
Is that acceptable?

I too wonder about this, for obvious reasons.
I've allways (in the few, rare times it's come up) described either a small-ish Dragon form, or a humanoid feline form (think of a 6'6" kerran male with a build like Ally McBeal, wearing mage robes).
Till I get an OK (because I don't want to have to stay out of Drysart's RP thread), I'll just have Palador in a human form for undisclosed reasons and not talk about the other forms/abilities.
Edit: Thinking about it, even a small Wrack Dragon is still a Wrack Dragon. Seeking approval for only the feline form for use in general RP threads. (Sorry 'Deth, no Protoculture-blood for you. ) [ 03-15-2003: Message edited by: Palador ChibiDragon ]

Spoken like a true GM.
As far as the feline form I'm asking for, it has no special abilities. It's easiest to say it's basically a teen aged Vah Shir as far as stats and abilities go, but with the Mage class and below average (for a Vah Shir) Strength.
Edit: and I won't be using the Dragon form, because I've realized that there is no good way to balance it out. So, it's "locked away", and serves as background story only. [ 03-15-2003: Message edited by: Palador ChibiDragon ]

Well, that was just an example... my character is a half-elf that does have dragon blood in his veins but he never brings it into play (no breath weapon, not a lot of use of his wings, not really all that strong, etc). He doesn't make a big deal about his forced heritage either. Just asks like a normal half elf.
So... in exchange for letting me play, I promise candid panties shots of Rhiannah for you...
What about the more far-fetched ones like Ogre Wizards?

Good question. I'll forsake all the Dragon references, and just play the Palador character as a young Vah Shir Mage, if that's allowable.
Appearance as a human in the current RP thread can be dismissed as the effects of one of those potions of illusion.
Edit: Forgot the magic word. [ 03-16-2003: Message edited by: Palador ChibiDragon ]
May this please be approved Mr Drysart, sir?
