I guess my point was... our consciousness/soul/aura/pastry or whatever has to anchored to something.

Like a cassette tape... no matter what's recorded on it, if the tape ever snaps, there's no way to tell if there was ever anything on it.

I gues I believe our consciousnesses have to be "anchored" somewhere... it doesn't matter how long the rope bridge is if it's not anchored on both sides...

There's also a simple truth that I'm reminded of: My analogies suck.

In retrospect, I prolly should have used the Question tag instead of the Religion one.
