Possibly. Maybe it just depends on location. I know none of the Baptist/Southern Baptist/whateverthehellyouwanttocallus churches around here have any sort of official confirmation.

We moved around a lot, and I ended up going to Baptist churches in lots of different places around Indy.

There's baptists, southern baptists, and real southern baptists. Baptists are like Catholocism lite. Southern baptists make catholics run for cover because there's like a brand of southern baptism for everyone. Real Southern Baptism is (in the vast, vast majority) run by people who've never been to a seminary course in their life, and just paid to get licensed as a preacher...and who then operate a "ministry" out of their garage for tax purposes.

confirmation. it's the next step in "adulthood" in the catholic church. Usually takes place around 15-16 years old.

generally speaking (theres always exceptions), anybody with 2 middle names is roman catholic. 1st name is their baptism name, 2nd is their confirmation.

yo, my family hasn't been catholic for a few hundred years (mostly) but I still have two middle names

It's not always that. (ours comes from a random saxon tradition)

Dont make me slap you so hard your bucket spins around, and around, and stops sideways, thus confusing you, and making you run about London wearing your bucket, a g-string, and carrying a stick, smacking the ground while yelling "MAGICALLY DELICIOUS! MAGICALLY FUCKING DELICIOUS!"- {Tal} to Mortious

Yesh. George and Gregory have never been offically added to my full name (hence the paranatheses). Also, confirmation was not a ritual I willingly participated in (didn't interest me), nor do I consider myself Catholic in any sense of the word. (That doesn't stop me from using G.G. in my signiture simply because I want to. )
