Grandfather<May his soul rest in peace>: WW2 Vet, Test Technition for Generyl Dynamics. He tested the heat sheilding for all of the Apollo mission pods and the current space shuttle. He also designed many parts for aircraft that we fly on today, including the Braking system for many of the older Boeing aircraft.

I honestly don't REALLY know. Was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force, retired from that, and now I'm pretty sure he does something dealing with the government.

He served in the navy on Seawolf class submarines for umm.. a lot of years, then took contract jobs out at nuclear power plants..

When we moved out to PA, he was a nuclear Saftey Technician.. Only, he like, taught people how to be safe, and stuff.

I got to say that my dad was homer simpson.

Note the past tense.

Well, my real father is an evil old man, whom I truly and utterly hate. Every time I see that man (which is not often, thankfully) I have the urge to strangle him to death...

Anyhow, since he's pretty much dead to me, my stepfather is on the WAN team at IBM! He does a lot of cool suff, like working in nuclear power plants. When he was working at Pharmacia (still FOR IBM, though) whenever they got a new drug approved by the FDA he got sent out to DC to set up the network for their conferences.

He recently got his CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification and probably next year he'll go for CCIE

In conclusion, if I had the chance I would be brutalizing my real father right now. Instead, I'm sitting comfortably in my room at home with my mother and stepfather sleeping in the room next to me. I don't have to worry about being endangered by anyone when I'm at home; my stepfather protects his family, unlike my real father.

I don't really want to pull a Rera here (haha), so I am going to stop ranting now.

Closing thought: SPLOO!

My father used to be a rail yard manager for Norfolk and Western Railroad. That was many years ago.

Now he's retired/disabled.

hmm Grandfathers...

Dad's Dad used to own the dealership.. till he died of a heart attack (I was 5)

Mom's dad was a WW2 vet, and I *believe* a factory worker in one of the many factories in Glens Falls. He died a few months after due to cancer (I was 6)

Mom was a Marine, surved during vietnam.. stationed in Cali.. she's now a bookeeper/secritary for a local TV/appliance shop. Small business just herself and her boss.

My dad is the distributor for the cloth brand Kappa (used to be for Reeboc or whatever, some English brand), owns a clothes retail store with primarily brand clothes and speaks Italian. I suspect him of actually being in the mafia.

My mom works for my dad.

My granddad is in the government somewhere, but I'm not exactly sure just wtf he does. And no, he's not a goddamn government ninja.
