I still stand by my beliefe that this is not all that bad. No I didn't find it all that humerous either. I am very much a cat lover. I would never hurt a cat. But a bunch of guys playing with photoshop for a couple weeks doesn't count.
Sick people will be sick people with or without this web site. Just like you can't blame violence against people on movies you can't much blame it on this site. Manmeat, bonsaikitty. Both kind of strange and twisted. However if you have that kind of reaction to every single thing that is a little off the wall then you may as well lock yourself in your hose the rest of your life or you will just stay pissed at the world all the time.

it's a prank site. The guy made it just to get a rise out of people.
Actually, Bonsaikitties are real.. at least thats what i have heard....
Thats just fucking sick though if it is... excuse my swearing but it is... the fact that anyone would buy something as discusting as this just makes me sick [ 09-16-2002: Message edited by: BlueMage ]

Among most American's it does. To some of us, it is thought of a lot along the lines of ritualistic torture.
It is a part of a different culture, different ways different peoples. I don't think many people here would enjoy the thought of binding thier childrens feet and heads to force an unnatural deformity such as the ancient chinese. This practice is ancient, and is almost non-existant in todays eastern cultures as well. So aside from some retro-culture fanatics, this point is moot.
And no, there is no way in hell I would bind the feet and heads, or any other of my girls body parts to force an unnatural deformity. The practice never made sense to me, and even in study, I found it cruel.
[Edit: Retractions, although the ancient chinese practices are almost non-existant anymore. There are other forms among different cultures that impose ritualistic deformation of thier children, and peoples. Such as many south african natives. I still find this cruel in my eyes, but then I am not part of that culture.] [ 09-16-2002: Message edited by: Faelynn LeAndris ]

that was then, this is now.. if say people started to deform their child's skulls like the ancient egyptions, people *will* complain.
I'd say a more term that could fit would possibly be circumcition. I mean, people are mutalating a little baby boy's weewee...
But accually, some people accually do complain about that to...

This has medical advantages, whereas rituallistic deformity does not. Even though circumcision is a form of ritualistic deformity, it has real world physical applications in preventing diseases and infections common to infant males. Not to mention lowers the amount of presise care that has to be taken towards the infant male because of this. [ 09-16-2002: Message edited by: Faelynn LeAndris ]

Thus the kinda and sortas and possiblies =P I know it has medical advantages.. but it still as you say, is a ritualistic deformity. And the only one I could think of to counter. Mostly because in today's society, if it's not a medical advansment, it's cause for an uproar and people bitterly rejecting.
People will find cause in anything to gripe about, weither it be circumstion, breast feeding, earings in what ever place that's not the earlobe... Tattoos.. I have had a couple of guys lit into me about mine...
Some times you have to be desensitized just to get through how people cause uproars. I mean like what Kal said about fetuses. Militent anti-aborstion groups have done far worse then sticking a fetus in a jar to prove their point, and publicaly display it.
