I know how much it sucks. I scored big and found two planets with 200 million colonists combined and a crapload of credits. Then I woke up one day and found two of my planets gone, including the one I had parked on.
But I'm getting back up there. It just takes a lot of time.

If you don't even have 500 billion, it makes sense for you to be a snack for someone with 50 trillion.

You got lucky, the people who figured out the game early by restarting 2-4 times and transfering money all got together to be #1. Kudos.
Most of us only had one try at it and we did our best.
Enjoy my planets, I took all the money off them, but they'll produce for you anyway.
If the next game is different enough, i may play. But Ill probably stick to everquest. At least that way, nobody can ruin the game for me.

Got lucky? Uh...we didn't get together because we figured out the game early (actually, we knew the basics from playing on LG for the short time it was up). If you take a look at the AA page, you'll see that every single one of us is an RPCrester (except Soldar), which is also why we're called "Arpee" (RP) Armada (The Arpee thing is an inside joke ).
We also had a thing called cooperation (something I think pretty much all alliances didn't have, except Bajah and Suchii, and only them). This was probably because we were on IRC so we could easily communicate, but eh. We tested, shared tactics, and channeled money into a single ship at one point (which set me back tremendously), because one supership > 4 medium ships.
I restarted once, and I didn't transfer money. Just left the ship to die. Dunno if it's still there, either.
And well, if you had spent just 500 million more on defenses, I wouldn't have touched your planet. I know most everyone I would even consider taking down has at least 50 billion.

You can likely destroy any of the rest of us as whim. Lord knows my planets were no match for BM despite having over 10 million fighters and 10 million torps on them, and he took two of them with ease, and stopped out of pity.
I tried to take one back, and got splatrified. All my work was for nothing. He gave me 950 billion creds; which restored my ship to better than it was. I have 57 planets, and no where near even 100 billion, much less trillion.
Soldar said he's going around planning to kill people with impunity. You're sitting there saying "We're stronger, so we will destroy you if we want. If you don't like it, tough."
The rest of us are at the point where we only survive if you basically choose to let us. That's not terribly fun.

I'm not gloating. In fact, I wasn't going to say a word about it till you brought it up in here (well, Mightion started it, I suppose. It could've ended at my post there, still).
It was nothing personal. Nothing at all. I chewed through everything from 15-300 that day, and today I went through 300-1000, sparing only Mightion and planets that contained the owner of the planet. It was nothing personal at all, and I wasn't planning on bringing up the subject, because you were just another one that went down. You just happened to have more money.
