Citadel makes the minatures for Games Workshop games. GW just makes the rules and stats.

Nothing to do with miniatures I supose, but I have a Hulagirl thingy for my car, I wanna paint her so she's no longer a creepy Hawaiian, but instead, a creepy goth chick. Trying to figure out how to ditch the green fake grass skirt thingy and make her a fishnet dress of some sort. =)

I've been into 40k for along long time. It is both a good game and great for converting, painting and collecting minutures.

There are a VERY wide range of models. From the anime Tau to the gothic Dark Eldar.
And from lonely foot troops to good size tanks.

You can look around their store for pictures and etc. But if you are going to buy anything goto www.thewarstore.com much cheaper.

Visit the gamesworkshop site and see if there is a store near you, they give free panting lessions and have alot of stuff instock so its a great place to browse.

Personally I prefer the detail of Reaper Mini but that is just a personal observation.

The Game Room store down the street from me is one of those rouge trader places, like half of their floor is devoted to it. Pretty spiffy. They also have a curio of painted models, some of those guys are pretty danmed amazeing. The down side is they freak me out when I buy stuff, they are a wee bit fanatical.

That's honestly pretty good for a first attempt, Drys. You show a lot of promise in this area.

I'd rant on about advanced painting techniques, but I believe it's all been said. Plus there's the fact that I'm a lazy bastard.
