I beg to differ, and I have proof
Actually Lynora comes to us as a hybrid of two new-human races of creature from Rengir. Her mother's people, as I've managed to gather from her rapid explanations, tend to be able of hypervelocity in short bursts, not unlike the terrestrial cheetah. Lynora's extended stamina, however, seems to come from her father's people, who are larger, stronger, not nearly as fast, but possess nearly endless stamina.
Look at Lynora's physical adaptions to speed...a lean build, powerful yet streamlined leg muscles, her feet have claws...
Lynora show them your toe claws
...that allow her to brake or change direction more easily by digging in. Her tail is also somewhat cheetah-like, able to swing like a rudder to help her change direction rapidly.
Her...ah...mate...is more of a mystery. Lynora can sometimes be goaded into cooperating as you might convince a cat to, but he's not so easily swayed, and tends to have a shorter attention span. Possibly. Hard to tell, as when you get them in proximity to one another they tend to develop even shorter attention spans until they reach a breaking point and start hairstyling...see Jania as an example.
