Little Man was my first pet. He has been the first creature that I was close to to die. All my grandparents were dead before I was born, and thankfully my parents are still around. So this was a new experience for me. I know he was 'just a rat,' but when you raise a creature and take care of him... when you play with him, teach him tricks, learn and love his personality, it hurts. I miss Little Man.
